Just wondering if anyone involved with the process or official-like might be able to tell us what the current state of play with the next books FanPro is looking to release? Granted I'm going from old memories but after On the Run that's just been released in .pdf I remember someone saying the next two books were meant to be Runner Havens and Street Magic. Not asking for a release date* but more where they were in the process e.g. still being written, in editing/layout, mostly done etc. and what sort of general timeframe we might be looking at.

*So please, if all you've got to contribute is bitching and moaning about missed or moved dates or how whatever they say they'll never make it then I'd kindly request you use another thread

in order for there to be missing or moved dates, there would have had to have been dates given in the first place. which i'm pretty sure there never were.

so anyone who complains about moved dates and such is clearly delusional, and should be ignored anyways :P

i'd give you what i know (which isn't much), but you probably already know it, and i'm certainly not anyone official =P

GM Screen is next. Runner Havens after that. Street Magic after that.

I know Runner Havens is done with the writing phase. That's where my involvement ends, though, so I can't say where it is after that.

Back in the beginnings of SR3, did it take as long as in SR4 days for M&M, MitS and CC to be released?

I can't wait for Augmentations, a Companion and Unwired, but it seems these books won't out before 2007.

I agree. Don't get me wrong, I am looking forward to Runner Havens and will totally grab a copy as soon as it is out, but I really, really want a book explaining the Matrix in more detail. The whole thing still confuses me and everytime I read one of the "here's how everything works now" threads my head starts to hurt. Papa needs his Matrix source book! Priorities!

Given the themes and developments in the upcoming Emergence source/campaign book, and the need for Unwired to be updated as possible in terms of the setting's Matrix status quo... FanPro thought it best to make sure it covers as much ground as possible (ie. doesn't require you to go looking in an add-on book for something not introduced in the core Matrix rulebook) and will use the extra time to make sure it gets done right.

That's a good thought, but why can't they release both books in the 1st quarter of 2006 ;)
An what changes of the "Matrix status quo"? Crash 3.0? :D

Now that would be telling... however, the blurb does say "The Emergence campaign involves the runners in a series of pivotal events that may change the way they view the world and the matrix—and each other."
