QUOTE (Lindt)

Robin: Tomokazu
Thank you for making my monday morning.
Seems a bit front loaded. By that I mean he's dumb as a post and has the social skills of a retarded wasp, but super human in all other respects.
Great list of skills, but your eating a TON of build up on them.
Especally since you have no gear at all. What kind of ninja dosent even have his own sword (hell what kind of pirate dosent have his own gun either?)
Ill let you change unarmed to Nijutsu, just because having an excuse to toss the ocassional ninja in makes me happy.
Your on a luxery yacht, there is no street lifestyle to be had. The crew cabins are cheap anyway, and very comfterable.

Thanks for the warm praise!

Well, the character concept is indeed superhuman but out of touch with society and dumb as a post. Who else would seriously think that he has to master the way of the pirate to avenge his ninja master?

Just think about Sho Kosugi in Revenge of the Ninja.

"Your mother has just been killed, the female shop assistant has been abducted and is being tortured, and so has your young son. Furthermore, your home and place of business have been broken into and ransacked. Should we call the police?"

"No. This is no job for the porice. This is something *I* must do. Onry a ninja can stop a ninja!"

Re: ninjitsu; I usually don't use the advanced melee rules because I don't like them, so I'll upgrade to Ninjitsu but I'm not as familiar with the manuvers as I am with other aspects of the game. Just to let you know.

The lack of gear has to do with the fact that I'm doing the point buy system entirely from memory. I couldn't remember whether spending 0 points on Resources gives me 500 nuyen or 5,000 nuyen, so I just took an armor jacket. If I actually get 5,000 nuyen I can spend ~3000 on the armor jacket, lifestyle, and a katana, and spend ~2,000 to improve the boat.

What do you say?

(Incidentally, because of my vagueness concerning resources and gear, the idea was to Metal Gear Solid it for a while and just loot defeated enemies. In Shadowrun that's a more effective strategy than a lot of people realize. If you get captured or Toxic Waved and your gear is destroyed you have nothing to cry about, since everything you pick up off the ground is value added. In past games other players would get so upset if their toys were taken away, but my 0 Resources characters wouldn't be any worse off. And unless the GM was going to suddenly equip all the NPCs with light pistols just to spite me, I'd be picking up great assault rifles and things like that just because the GM needed to give his NPCs a reasonable chance to kill the PCs.)

For Ziptide's distinctive style, it is kind of a combo of the old-school elegance and the sense of danger that he radiates - to me, for it to be a flaw, it has to be something that draws attention and can't be "turned off" very easily, or covered up with a trenchcoat or whatever.

The hair isn't what really makes him distinctive - I figure that in Shadowrun, green is probably about as common a hair color as blonde. :)

Robin: Tomokazu (Ninja becomming pirate)

HMHVV: Mal (Fish Shamen)

Glpyyh: Ziptide (Sea Shamen)

Calliduis: Checker (Drone Rigger)

Chance: Hank (All around thug)

Its 5,000 for 0 points. Going with 500 would actually cost -5 BP

Consider her a professional diver and leave it at that.

Albino Night One cat[fish]girl lesbian strippdiver/[fake]assassin. It is intentionally over the top munchy yet at the same time well thought out and poorly min-maxed. Sort of an anti-munchkin.

Edit: I modified her knowledge skills to be more inline with the character concept.

Hyz, Oddly, Ill totally buy that.

Robin, seeing as your still totally de-geared.
Pirate Pistol (SA/BF) {4} [10m] 2(b)
One break action heavy pistol, stylized, and still pretty effective. Consider it your gift for a really entertaining charcter. You now have a ninja sword, and a buckeneers pistol.

Glyph, Ill keep that in mind, it didnt feel like HE stood out, but adding the discriptor "well he was pretty bland really, but he just FELT dangerous" is grade A cool.

HHMVV- noticed shotgun ammo pouches, but no shotgun?

To everyone, unless you have a lifestyle you are keeping on land, what your really paying for (in your lifestyle cost) is food, and day to day mantiance on the boat. So Callidus, you dont need to pay double to store your drones. In all reality, i dont care if you call it a lifestyle, or just make sure you have the cash on hand when you make land to resupply.

I use those to hold loose rifle rounds, since the sporting rifle he carries runs on an internal magazine rather than a clip.

It fires normal Heavy Pistol ammo. Go get your own, or bum it off someone else.

I present your 'ride' as it may be. The Dolphinian.

WOOHOO!

Armed ship! Not HEAVILY armed, but at least we won't be defenseless.

And Predator-style camo paint! ALRIGHT!

Just a warning to everyone: I have no idea of the vehicle rules at all, so if I get lost, please be patient with me. I'm a shaman, so it shouldn't be a problem, but just in case it is, please be gentle :P

For simplicity's sake I'm just going to conjure 25 heavy pistol cartridges (decaf) for myself. That should be plenty for a play by post game.

Sounds fine. Its only some bullets.

Can someone check my math? With 5 armor, its going to bounce everything shyof an 11 (Or an MMG with ex ex). Which will be a 1, with 8 bod dice plus control pool to resist.

I am going to open a 'free form' warm up thred monday, and I encourage you to smooth out the edges before we start. Plus it gives me an addational week to make charcter suggestions, write some stuff, and hopefully get my college portfolio finished.
