Hi... I've been reading about agents in the Matrix book, but I haven't really understood some things...
Mat.90: "To run a frame or agent, the controlling character must first log on to a host or grid and then upload the frame or agent. [...] Running frames or agents does not take up any of the controlling character's active memory." What about if you want to have several agents? Can you just upload the same agent twice? Ten times? What about if you programmed two separate agents? What are the limits here? /me imagines conquering hosts with an army of agents And since the agent runs on the remote host, does it care about what MPCP I have on my deck? |

that's one of the things the 3e rules overlooked. according to the rules, yes, you can upload your agent an infinite number of times with no adverse effects.

Agents and frames do not run on your system, they run directly on the host, taking from its memory. There would be a theoretical limit but you would be working for weeks to exceed the hosts ability to run your agents.
It makes perfect sense, but has slight balance issues. Edward |
