Any particular reason why one couldn't adapt the rules for firing two weapons in the same action for use with a drone?

I don't see a reason why you couldn't. Given a top of the line drone with pilot 6, smartgun link, and skillsoft 6 you're still only getting 7 dice. Scary after a few of them start firing at you but not so much alone.

6 dice. Smartgun link wouldn't apply, right?

no reason it wouldn't

oh and to solve that problem, give each turret it's own agent with pilot and autosofts

Sorry, you're right. Smartgun doesn't apply when firing multiple weapons. 6 dice is even less scary.

What if one of them just does surpressive fire while the other one aims?

If it's just a port of the two-weapon rules you can't suppress and normal fire at the same time. For that I'd require multiple brians, which means multiple drones.

QUOTE (Rotbart van Dainig)
Indeed.
Now what happes if someone bolts some Smart Firing Platforms to a car?
Instant area denial. ;)

My old 3rd Ed campaign had one drone rigger that made up custom "gunpods" that were basically guns with drone brains. They had legs and could move around a little bit but mostly they were for latching on to vehicles, other larger drones, or even the resident troll of the team to provide additional turreted goodness.

:D
