A black winged angel whose shadowed face has tears of blood trickling down cheeks, an elaborate, gothic sword in hand, white robes tattered. Or Alucard from Castlevania: Symphony of the Night.

Without taking the to much time to think about it, there are two likely one's I would go for: a TRON style icon, with a lightcycle and a floating Bit (agent program) or the Nameless One from Planescape: Torment, with tattoos that change as my program loadout changes.

my icon would be the Phantom from the The Phantom of the Opera, with mist swirling around, colored like a fading sepia photograph.

Well, a pair of gym socks that are plain and white. I'd have lint balls for most programs with a needle and thread for a repair prog.

The basic icon that a non-tuned/changed/customised cyber terminal/deck uses. Why broadcast something special. Look weak until you call in the artillery!

Isis-9 otaku do that. They all have standard UMS icons, in metallic colors IIRC.

...logically: likeness of my namesake KK - Katana, Six Guns, Stetson, & all done in a decidedly Manga style.

...personally speaking: Seamus Harper from the aforementioned Andromeda.

You bet your ass Gary Oldman would be the basis for of my agents' icons, too.

I mean, sure, Christopher Walken is pretty cool and he has that great line in True Romance, "I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood. You tell the angels in heaven you never seen evil so singularly personified as you did in the face of the man who killed you. My name is Vincent Coccotti." But Oldman... He never had to announce his evilness.

My avatar would be based on my regular online 'persona' in environments where I'm called up on to be someone else. A six foot tall muscular humanoid alien with no body hair and antennae.

Heh, tricky one. Maybe armour and attack programs that make me look like an elemental from CBT obscuring mostly the whole icon... small laser as attack prog, the srm backpack as black out or hammer depending on the character's style. Probably a little predictable, but... Maybe a good agent icon too.
