I know, I know...

This isn't SR related but I am personally so happy about it I had to share.
Original Unaltered Trilogy on DVD.
I'm sure you're saying, "Just another way for Lucas to make money...". True, but
I would much rather have the unaltered version than the SE version. Sure some
of the added stuff was cool, but, for me it was all bitter sweet. After they altered
the Han and Greedo scene I was totally... Bummed? Pissed? Disapointed, that's it!
Disappointed. The fact that Han got the jump on Greedo just added to the cool
that is Han Solo.

Anywho, I'm just a mid-level Star Wars dork, so this is exciting for me. Dorky enough
to care about something like the Han and Greedo scene, but not enough to own every
piece of memorabilia, know every obscure fact about the SW universe or dress up in
SW costumes. I mean there has to be a limit.

Oh, and just thought of something that will make my post relate to SR, a question.
What Star Wars character(s) have you based a character on or actually created in SR?

Hell yes!!! It's about time they put the real movie on DVD. I was so damn mad when they only put out the "I'm so cool I can fuck up my own movie" version.

Thanks for the news.

I've never based an SR character off of Star Wars, but I'll tell you a little tale: once upon about a month ago, Emo called me and the other players to a CharGen meeting. We didn't actually create our characters at this meeting, but Emo did get the chance to give us a crash course on the SR world. Emo explained that most campaigns (his included) were set in Seattle. K asked "Why Seattle?" and I jumped in with the answer:

"You'll never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy." 8)

I just now remembered, there's was a shirt or poster or something that pretty much sums up how I felt about the SW: A New Hope redo.

"Han Shot First"

Anywho, yeah. You guys is welcome, it's almost my duty as a mid-level SW dork to report this.

huh? what?
"real version of prequels"?
i don't get it...
oh,wait! are you trying to say that the reason the prequels sucked is because they too are remastered?
as if to suggest that there are actually good "unaltered" versions of the prequels?
is that what you're getting at?
If it is, then i get it; but if it's not, then no... i don't get it.

The ones released in theaters must have been a cruel hoax to drum up publicity for the real ones. That is the only possible explanation.

You can buy that shirt here. Scott Kurtz from the webcomic pvponline had made the shirt.

No, I'm saying that the prequels sucked. Hard. So if there's a "real" version that's worth putting onto DVDs, it must be some secret set of movies that nobody has ever seen.
