Magic Theory and Traditions Shamanic RANK:4 Yosandra is the name of a particularly charismatic leader of a circle of Snake shamans that operate out of Africa and Eastern Europe. Literature (Mythology) RANK:3 Yosanda is the name of a mouse, in ancient African mythology, that managed to convince a snake that if it were to let itself be eaten, it would grow stronger then by eating her. She is revered in the traditional sense of anthropomorphic hero's that out-witted foes that were bigger or stronger then them. Sparky Unfortunately, the information is a little more modern. |

OOC--There were some inferences, ie anyone notable enough to be picked up on Theory and Traditions is a well-known individual within the community whose absence would be felt.
Were we recruiting a knuckle dragger or just moving forward? |

The knuckle dragger is up to you guys. More specifically, if anyone doesn't want me to recruit another, let me know ;) Sorry about the typo, Yosandra was actually the mouses name ;P Charlotte Dakota is temporarily unavailable. Best information you have is that she went out for some persona business during your weeks off, and hasn't returned. She hasn't been out of contact long enough for "official" concern from upstairs (which is generally a week with field agents) |

I hadn't even known she had a matrix presence.... go Dakota! Virtua-dates can overcome even strict military discipline. :D In regards to our knuckle-dragger, does anyone know someone who is reliable and wants to add a new game? I'd personally like to keep the intent of this being a game by invitation alive so that we can keep up with the guilt-trips when one of us falls off the bandwagon. |

I'm fine with keeping it invitation only. Does anyone know someone they'd like to include in the thread?

I've got a friend entirely new to SR who flirts with the idea of rolling here at DS. But he's pretty well committed right now... so I think I'd rather someone who's either super keen or already here, or, preferably, both.
Cirio, how tech-savvy is Cirio? A combat hacker type might be a good addition. |

Everyone I know is actually already in the thread at the moment. I say if we don't get someone internally then throw up a thread that spells out our want/need for someone who is going to post at least once a week.

Sparky;
Decently so: Group: Cracking (Log) RANK 4 3 in group, Cybercombat, Electronic Warfare, Hacking Group: Electronics (Log) RANK 3 4 in group, Computer, Data Search, Hardware, Software ...a lot of his Knowledge Skills are focused on electronics and software as well. Edit: I should add that while he has a number of Complex Forms, a dedicated Cracker will be good to have. |

DireRadiant has expressed some interest. He's a solid, smart and dependable player. I mentioned that we were looking for a combat specialist to keep the rest of us alive when the bullets start to fly.
Overall I think he'd be a good addition to the team unless someone has a personal objection. |

I also received a message from Thain, a friend of Sparky's that is apparently also interested. I told him to read over the thread and we'd see about it.
At this point, I'm inclined to add both, due to standard board attrition. I'm assuming we'll probably lose at least one more person at some point. ;) McQ, can you have DireRadiant send me a PM and I'll tell him basically the same thing, read over the IC and OOC posts and get a good feel for the game. |

And that being said, is there anything else I need to provide for you guys to move forward?
I know a couple of people are waiting back on responses from contacts, but timeline-wise that's still a bit in the future. Is there anything you guys are waiting on that I can provide to help move the game forward? |

That would be me. I've told Fenris I'm interested, and sent him the details-to-date on my character. I';ve got her stats done, and am just going to flesh out her background and buy her gear. I should have her finalized by Friday night. About me: I've been gaming for over fifteen years now, and have some limited PbP experince (altough a lot of freeform PBeM). Although this is my first SR PbP, and first game here at DSF. I'll try to check the boards daily, and post as often as I can. I know it can suck for a guy to join and drop, so I'll try to keep RL from interfering. Feel free to PM, e-mail, or whatever. |

To clarify... I don't actually know Thain, but liked his (his, yes?) posts elsewhere on Dumpshock and suggested he come take a look at some threads and see if he was interested in giving PbP a go. So don't blame me if he's a crackpot. Or do blame me... I dunno. :D
Anyway, welcome to the game, Thain! DireRadiant, hope you come play with us too. |

My apologies, I realize I sent PM's to both Thain and DireRadiant, but neglected to mention that fact here in the OCC thread ;)
So, welcomes to DireRadiant and Thain, they should both be posting IC any day now ;) We'll move forward when you guys have had a few minutes to acquaint yourselves. |

Is there any other additional data or information you guys were looking for?
To keep the thread bumping along, I'm inclined at this point to just bump you to a plane flight to Praia and get things moving again. I'll sprinkle in responses from contacts along the way. If Thain posts he'll be dropped in along the way somewhere. Any objections? |
