There is nothing...
If his expression changes, it is to mild curiosity, and even then it is covered by a sip of his water. To find someone with no commlink in this day was strange. Operating in hidden mode could be troublesome enough, but being unwired... save for the odd signal. He's wearing no comm. |

"Well what were you thinking, to me my offer is good, but if you don't feel right about it, by all means suggest a price you can work with."

"well, quote frankly, chummer, you offer is good. IF you had a little bit more to offer us. As it stands you are paying us for a good chance of serious loss of life and limb, not to mention extensive legwork, with an undefined timeline. Find out the information as quickly as we will have to, cause when the deadline is unknown, its best to assume you have no time at all, will cost us almost that much in bribes and client fees alone. Basically its a matter of covering our expenses. Furthermore, this paying per person... that will never do; if one of us gets geeked, your laughing all they way to the bank with his slice of the pie. So, we will be needing payment as a lump sum. That being said, I would call 75k a good amount," Miralda throws the number off like it was small change. he leans back and sips his water. "Of course, if you can tell us more, we can adjust the price downwards, as it would greatly cut down on our expenses." The last bit Miralda says ALMOST completely indifferently. He manages to have a slight connotation of him doing Neon a favor.

"Fair enough," Neon thinking to himself about profit margins.
"I had every intention of paying you as a group and not per head, I just gave you the individual price to save the headache of doing too much math. But Seventy-five Thousand sounds like a decent chunk of change for saving the world," he gives a short lived laugh. "Now, I was going to pay you half up from, but since you've upped the antee, and I only brought half of what I was offering with me, I am going to pay you, up front 22,500, or 7500 a person if you prefer." He reachs into his coat pocket and produces three credsticks and holds them up as if to say, take it or leave it. |

"I'm thinking thats the best deal we could get. Push our luck any farther and it might turn on us.", Roland muses as he reaches for one of the credsticks and looks at the display screen on it.
"Any last buisness on the table before we head out?", he says after reading the correct value on the credstick. |

Twenty-five thousand apiece is nothing to frown at, despite the danger involved. I would pay rent at least, for the better part of a year. He'd been investing much of his resources in the search for his former mentor, and could use the float.
Silently, Triplicate takes up one of the credsticks, not bothering to check the value. While he doesn't implicitly trust his employer, his personal code won't allow the slight of doing so. |

"Just be careful, I know these guys are dangerous, and we need you intacts at least until the mission is complete." And with that Neon start walk to the door.

"Null sweat chummer," Miralda says to Neon as the man walks out the door.
"well my friends... We have much to discuss, shall we retire to my place for hot coco and planning?" Miralda says with a twinkle in his eye. |

"The real stuff or that processed sludge?", Roland asks with a small twinge of disgust. The look quickly fades as he thinks for a second than then adds, "You know, I dont think I've ever been to your place yet. Sounds like a plan to me."
As he starts to stand up and stretch out his back and arms. |

I get the feeling we've either encountered a fresh Johnson, or an exceedingly clever once...
Triplicate watches as Neon walks away, and only when he is good and gone does he shift effortlessly to the spoken real. `I believe some quiet discussion is indeed in order.` |

Miralda's Doss 7.7.70 22:30
"Well" Miralda says, all gathered around cups of real coco in his comfortable living room. "It seems that we have found ourselves a pretty high calibur run. I am sure it is nothing we cannot handle, however I do beleive there is much to be done. Off the top of my head I would say that the first thing that needs doing is to find out who the hell stole that railgun. Anyone care to correct me?" |

Sitting back in a chair, Roland has his head back looking at the ceiling. He waves his hand through the air and says, "Partly. I think we should find out who took it, yes. But first we should see who Neon really is. That would fall to our resident Matrix Voodoo master though." As he finishes the last sentence he straightens up and looks at Triplicate.
"Then we should see about the job. We could head out to the site of the attack for clues, look through our net of friends, and then just look on the Matrix.", he added in. He finishes his talking with a big drink of coco. After a nano-second he almost jumps out of his chair yelling out in pain, "Ahh! Damn thats hot!". |

`Even in a wired world, some people exist off the grid.`
Now that they are outside of public, he speaks more openly than he did in the club, or would anywhere else. Triplicate only ever seemed to speak in whispers. `He had no commlink with him, though I can likely pull an image from the club's security, and run a facial recognition scan.` More accurately he would task a sprite with the search. It wasn't laziness, it was efficiency. `As for the railgun, I'm sure there will be no small amount of buzz about it. There are no more secrets, after all.` |

"Alright then." Miralda says "You gentlemen are more then welcome to crash here, and infact I recogmend it. I will start making calls in the morning, and hopefully this shouldn't be to much trouble."

"Hmm... sounds ok to me I guess.", Roland replies after he finished off the coco. "May our luck be with us tommorrow then."
Looking at his commlink he turns on his alarm for 0700. He then gets out of his chair and lays down along an open wall on the floor. "See you in the morning then.", he says as he settles down, putting his hat over his eyes. Miralda's House - Houston, Tx CAS 8.7.70 05:43 Sleep was not peacefull to Roland. Through the night, he was tossing and turing in the throws of a nightmare that never really ends. It's a swirl of red, black and terror. All of a sudden he can hear a woman and child scream in unison... "FIONA! NO!", Roland yells in anguish as he bolts up, reaching into the darkness. Regaining control of his senses, he looks around and then lays back down. Tears of pain roll down his face as he just lays there in silence... |
