Shen's Quest IC, OMG I'm running for Emo Samurai... Options

Shen turns to the others. "He doesn't know anything; all I got was that he was hired by Kratos to do this. Maybe someone else can try, although I think I got his subconscious, dreams and all. His name is Paris, though."

[Ophis]

"Yeah, the gas in the grenade I lobbed does play with the brain some," says Cheerleader, "I figure that would be about what we'd get. Okay Autumn should be here in five, I'll go and get Wing and Hannah ready to move. Wild, overwatch please make sure our wheels are ready, Shen sort you self out and get ready to move."

Shen walks over to the kitchen and pours himself a BIG cup of tea; he needs caffeine in his system, and he needs it now.

Is shen doing anything for the next five minutes other than relaxing?

"I'll go scout for enemies."

Shen lies down on the couch, closes his eyes, and jumps out of his body, searching for possible enemies and trackers. He does this in a 15 block radius, looking for signs of hostility in people's auras. He also looks for drones.

[Ophis]

Shen's rapid scouting reveals nothing living in the area, but he does notice a couple or three drones that could well be loitering over the building he's in.

The scouting will take a few minutes, which brings us nicely onto,

You come too to see Wing and another girl standing in the room, you presume this blonde must be Hannah. Wildchild is wearing a rucksack and has a intimdating pistol holstered under one arm, and what looks like a small, pistol gripped grenade launcher under the other. Cheerleader has changed into biker leathers and is armed with a pair of the big pistols. She grins at you, "Are we clear in the astral? I presume that's where you were." She offers you a hand up as Wildchild heads towards the doorway pulling Wing with him.

"All clear; I assume the drones above this building are yours?"

[Ophis]

"How many, we have two up."

As you head down the stairs You hear the sound of an engine and the sharp sound of a car decelerating.

[emo samurai]

"Two or 3."

[Ophis]

You reach the bottom of the stairs and exit the house. Cheerleader signals you to wait and says, "Fuck it. At least we know that we'll be tailed." She waves at a sleek sports car parked in the road and hops on to a waiting Yamaha Rapier as Wing gets on behind her. Wildchild is already on the backof a BMW Blitzen and revs his engine hard before shooting off at pace. Cheerleader says, "See you there," and speeds off after him.

Autumn

You see the man and girl your here to pick up. Brandon is sayt in the back playing with a feather he seems to have found somewhere. Cheerleader sends you a message, we have a drone watching us so there's going to be pursuit. She also gives you an address.

Shen is about 6' tall and very wiry and thin. His face is very young, but his expression is that of a very old man, and not the jolly, grandfatherly type. He has a resigned seriousness to him that does not replace dignity, but rather makes you realize that his resigned seriousness is all dignity was to begin with. He is wearing what remains of a nice black and white suit on top of an armor jacket. From what you can make of the suit, it has black and white in a sort of fractal pattern; yin and yang in infinite permutations.

The driver's side door opens and out steps a female elf. She is just over 6' with an athletic build. As far as you can tell she is somewhere over mid twenties. She is wearing a pair of what once were black, worn and comfy looking jeans, a skinny tee and a pair of buisness looking New Rocks. Her hair is mid-back and raven black, apart from a pair of red streaks either side of her parting that don't look dyed.

"Stay in the car hun, we won't be long" She says as she looks into the back of the car.

"Hi, you must be Shen and Hannah, I'm Autumn. Hop in"

Shen nods and steps inside.

"Where are we going? What security measures does the new safehouse have? Hopefully it has bulletproof windows." The last sentence is half-joking, half-dead serious.

I forgot to mention that Shen's a Chinese elf with hair that comes down to an inch above his shoulders. He also has a rather ethereal manner to him, as if he would be better suited to floating around rather than walking.

[Ophis]

You climb into the front passenger seat, as you climb in you notice that one side is occupied by an elven boy, with dark hair and bright green eyes. He looks at you and smiles, "Hello my name is Brandon," he says rather purposefully as if weighing every word before he says it, "why do your ancestors hate you?"

As you pause, Hannah climbs into the other rear passenger seat.

[Metatron]

"We are going to be driving for about an hour until we reach our destination. Security-wise, it has me and Wildchild. Bulletproof windows? You must be joking!"

[emo samurai]

"WildChild alone has proven... sufficient. He killed 2 runners by himself, so I suppose we'll be safe with you two. Anything to brief us on?"

[Metatron]

"If we do get into a fire fight, I will be going in first. So just keep an eye on Brandon for me. Hopefully it won't come to that, as I should be able to shake any tails we may pick up."

She starts up the engine, and pulls away.

[Ophis]

Brandon is quiet as the two of you talk. He watches Hannah with the detached fascination of a young child who doesn't quite understand the world. "Shen," he says in his ever so deliberate manner, "your clothes make me go cross eyed. Look I can cross my eyes and touch my tongue with my nose."

"Fascinating. Can you do this?"

Shen holds his hand up and creates a small carnival in his palm, down to the smallest detail. It seems that you could ride 100 ft. tall roller coasters if only you could shrink down small enough.

Force 3 trid phantasm. 4 hits on his drain resistance, no drain.

[Ophis]

Brandon stares wide eyed at the rollercoster, "Wow. I can't do that."

[emo samurai]

"What else do you want to see?"

[Ophis]

"I want to see Throne, but I can't get there until I'm am Inipitated." He seems pleased with himself for remembering a big word. "You never said why ancestor spirits hates you."

[emo samurai]

"Initiated. The word is Initiated. Say it with me. Initiated.

And how did you know ancestor spirits hate me? Not even most mages know that."

[Ophis]

He joins along with you and then to your question says "It's obvious right in your aura."

I presume your using guidance spirits for this? Ancestor spirit is a little vague

"It is... I never knew one could read that.

"The reason is that I betrayed a somewhat sacred duty to my people in China. I was a nobleman and a wise man to the people, and for personal reasons, I left after several decades of service. I did not think I could do much more for my village, and apparently, the spirits think differently. I will, however, not return soon, if ever. Now what else would you like to see?"
