I haven't thought up one for Shen yet. He's very sensitive and generous, but when his sense of compassion is offended, he goes apeshit and melts people's skin off.

What about your characters?

My current main character is an adversary shaman. I'm thinking "Terrible Lie" by Nine Inch Nails.

I used to have an ork merc who had "Feuer Frei" by Rammstein.

My elf face (Sahandrian) was something by Bon Jovi, probably "Bounce."

And my irish coyote shaman used to have something by Bad Religion, but now I'd say "Rocky Road to Dublin" by the Dropkick Murphys, or "Queen Anne's Revenge" by Flogging Molly.

Then I've run a couple deckers, another merc, another shaman... pretty much anything except rigger and mage. But those I can't rememebr any songs for.

"End of the line" by The Travelling Wilburys would be an interesting theme song for one of my characters. He's an old mercenary troll going by the name of Crossfire, recently out of jail after being "inside" for about 25 years... he's old fashioned, out-of-date and totally incapable of doing anything but running the shadows... an old fart at the end of the line :D

"Behind blue eyes" by The Who would fit perfectly my German burn-out mage named Wolfram. He's actually an ork who grew up in a radical, Humanis Policlub family. His parents were so ashamed of him that they paid the best specialists in the world to have him look like a "normal" human. He has been living a lie for a long time, hiding behind blue eyes...

Peace!

Crossfire

hmmmmm.....i guess my darkelf monowhipe adebt would be Mad World from the donny darko sound track. cause most of the time he stands on his telephone poles or high buildings with his pet raven Poe, and watches the world go buy for no real reason other then to watch it.

That sounds very cool, in a dark, brooding, angsty way :)

Personally... I thought the character he described was meant to be some kind of parody.

No offense, but...

For my all time favorite character Nightmare (male elf ex-Wildcat combat mage) it would have to be I Disappear by Metalica.

For Bloody Mary (female elf street sam) I'll say Die MF Die by Dope.

For my newest character, Silence (male human street sam) it's the song that inspired his back story - Never Again by Nickleback.

i didn't mean to model/parody him after anybody. i always thought it would be ironic for all the people on the ground looking up at dark elf in a long black coat with tails in a tophat with an awakened raven on his arm humming mad world talking about him being stupid for being up there. while Kain watches the people below teem about in the other masses not knowing were there going being stupid.

Many of my characters never lasted long enough to get theme songs attached to them. But some have.

John Arkham - Gunfighter Adept: Johnny Cash's version of Danzig's Thirteen

Juke - ork ganger turned sammie: Ice Cube's Check Yourself

As a player, I dunno... but as a GM re-running the Big H 1 and 2, I gotta say that nothing fits Harlequin quite like Mike Paton (Patton?) Leaning more towards Mr. Bungle, methinks.

No one's mentioned Pat Benatar's Invincible? Considering its theme and 80s origin, it screams Shadowrun character to me. Oh, and how can you beat Warren Zevon's Roland the Headless Thompson Gunner for conjuring up a vengeful spirit?

Phil Briggs, my redneck bike-delivery drummer got Pepe Deluxe's Everybody Pass Me By.

Eddie Bax (a name we only figured out years later was from Johnny Mneumonic), the burned-out Lone Star detective on "administrative leave" while the death of his partner was investigated (and he punched, shot, and interrogated his way through half the Seattle Underground before dying in a one-on-one in a burning hotel lobby with the antagonist's right-hand gunman to save the rest of the crew) had the Apocalyptica cover of Metallica's Unforgiven.
