 Silly Shadowrun Joke, It's really late; humor me |

This is just a joke I remember hearing that I translated into the Shadowrun universe. It's kind of long so be patient.
Joe and Bob are always arguing about the amount of people that Bob says he knows. Joe says it's bulldrek and that he is lying. Bob says that he knows everyone there is to know in the 6th world. Joe gets tired of hearing Bob so he challenges him. "Bob, if you know everybody, how bout you introduce me to Maria Mercurial?" Bob turns to Joe and says "Ok, meet at Matchsticks at 7 pm." Joe shows up at Matchsticks and Bob introduces him to Maria Mercurial. Joe is speechless and slightly embarrassed. Bob is grinning from ear to ear. A few days later, Joe gets to thinking. That was just luck that Bob knew Maria Merculio so he challenges Bob again. "Bob, if you know everybody, how bout you introduce me to Nadja Daviar?" Bob thinks for a second and says, "Ok Joe, how bout we have a BBQ at my place this Saturday. I'll introduce you there." Sure enough when Joe arrives at Bob's on Saturday Bob introduces him to Nadja Daviar with a smile. Joe is bewildered and stupefied that Bob would have such great connections. A week later Joe has convinced himself that Bob is playing a practical joke on him. He walks up to Bob and says, "Bob, I think you're lying to me and pulling my leg. If you have such great connections then I want to meet Damien Knight." Bob stares at Joe for a second and says, "Ok, you sure about this?" Joe says, "Absolutely, there is no way you know Damien Knight." Bob says, "I do. Follow me." Bob and Joe get in a car and drive to a park downtown. A large group of people are milling around and appraising art. Bob looks at Joe and says, "Wait here. I have to go in alone but I'll have Damien Knight wave to you from that stage over there." Bob pointed to a stage off to the left as he walked towards security. Bob stepped out onto the stage with Knight 10 minutes later and started waving to Joe. A few seconds later he saw Joe collapse so he ran over to him and propped him up. "Joe, what happened? You just fainted." Joe looks up at Bob and says, "I was going to wave back when Lofwyr said to me, 'Hey, who's that standing next to Bob?'" :D :D P.S. The spell check doesn't recognize Shadowrun as a word. there is a typo
replace the last paragraph with Bob stepped out onto the stage with Knight 10 minutes later and started waving to Joe. A few seconds later he saw Joe collapse so he ran over to him and propped him up. "Joe, what happened? You just fainted." Joe looks up at Bob and says, "I was going to wave back when Lofwyr said to me, 'Hey, who's that standing next to Bob?'" |

I figured a mage friend with voice alteration and disguise spells. I guess putting it in a Shadowrun frame of reference changes the way you look at it. :) |
