I'm surprised and dissappointed that there are no Shadowrun Missions happening at DragonCon this year. I was looking forward to playing 4th edition for a change.

There were scheduling communications problems with DragonCon. We had plans to attend the convention (and FanPro WILL have a booth there). However, we received an incorrect deadline for event submission. We're working with the convention now to see if we can add games on-site.

I definetly hope you guys get something in. It just wouldn't be the same there without at least one Shadowrun.... and hopefully those geniuses from last year will find something else to play.....

There are now SR Missions events (along with a bunch of other SR games) listed on the DragonCon gaming registration page! Woot!
However, fair warning, pre-registration ends tomorrow (the 11th). |

Due to the turn out and desire (we had lots of people waiting for open seats and begging for pickup games) I would guess that the FanPRO team will be back next year. No promises since I dont make decisons. I was pleasantly shocked at the game turnout. On monday we had 5 of 6 seats in every game. Most games that day (which werent many) had 2-4 and several canceled due to not enough players. We still filled the tables. The DragonCON Game leaders were very surprised and happy with the desire. We talked about why last years was less than this years. I think they will be going to FanPRO for the schedule much eariler this coming year.
Again this is all speculation on my part........ dog |

I ran Shadowrun at DCon... Though not missions. I would love to talk with some of my players form those sessions, if they are around.

The players from the Missions are on the board (at least several of them are). I actually recruited one of them into my weekly game. :D So, they will speak for themselves.
I know there have been several CONs with Missions including (I am doing this while sleep deprived so I might be off) Orgins, GenCON, and DragonCON this year. |
