The first thing I thought when I heard about this on NPR was "I'm going to kill the party adept and make him into a focus!" What da ya think? Awakened gems made from Awakened people? Aren't OOC's made with diamond circuitry? Could Life Gem bridge the gap between magic and machine? Awakened commlinks! Magic through technological interfaces! Magic affecting the Matrix directly! Think of the possibilties!!! Or maybe it would function like orbo(sp?) like in Witch Hunter Robin? Counterspelling attributes? Anti-magic qualities? Protection for the mundane? |

Do you happen to live in the Chicago area, Ghostie? Because NBC 5 News just did a report tonight about a little girl who died of cancer (I think). Anyway, her last request was to be made into one of these LifeGemsŽ, and her mom wears the gem as a necklace now.
EDIT: And there she is on the webpage! I guess this actually happened in California - I missed that detail because I honestly wasn't paying that much attention to the segment. :D |

No, the whole point is to make sure that their remains are a Ghost Chain and bind them in a way that makes it unlikely that they'll ever break free. Logically, if a ghost is chained to its own ashes and then you eat those ashes the ghost will be chained to you.
The only problem is that you can't possibly digest a diamond. It is ust as likely to pass through you as it is to get stuck somewhere in our digestive system so this is not a safe way to secure a Ghost Chain. |

he he. Ghostie. Nope, I heard about alternate burial traditons on NPR and had to write it down in my little-black-idea-book.
I forgot about Dikote! That would be sweet! Aren't nanties made from carbon too?. You could have your loved one's bones and such turned into buckytubes.......Wait, aren't buckytubes used in monofilament whips? That would be an awesome way to make a monowhip focus!!! At the very least I think i'm going to compress my enemies into life gems after I kill them. A very expensive trophy collection. |

Specific Target, Touch Range, Probably more of a Permanent than an Instant... Probably S, depending on the Object Resistance Table ;)
