Hi guys...

I'm a French runner planning to take a break in New York in two weeks from now, and I was wondering if some of you who may well be more connected in the NYC shadows could give me some addresses for a few good fixers dealing in roleplaying games in general and Shadowrun in particular...

Thanks

Compleat Strategist is not far from the Empire State Building (one block over). I've walked in there once, a bit claustrophobic in there but from the brief bit I've seen it's chock full of stuff, lots of old stuff from what I've heard. Though they happen to have a branch down in Northern VA, don't know how that happen or how this branch stays in business considering how it's run.

Here's the store info link and here's what I grabbed:

The Compleat Strategist New York City Location
11 East 33rd Street (between Madison and Fifth Avenue)
New York, NY 10016
212-685-3880
Hours: Monday-Wednesday - 10:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Friday-Saturday - 10:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Thursday - 10:30 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Sunday - Closed

Thanks a lot PBTHHHHT , that's a lead...
Maybe I'll get some more intel about other RPG dealers there with a Mind Probe or my trusty Colt Manhunter ;-)

Cs is great, though it's been a few years since I've been in that part of the city when they were open. Basically go down 5th ave to the Empre State Building, past the Mcdonalds turn east on 33rd for about a block or so and there you are.
With your back to 5th ave it will be on the left.

I'll also suggest the Compleat Strategist near the Empire State Building. I was there a little over a month ago and they had a pretty good selection of Shadowrun material.

Thanks to all of you guys...
I've been to the Compleat Strategist and well...I went on a shopping spree, burning like 300 USd in various games (but no Shadowrun, since neither the GM's screen nor Street Magic were available)...
Definitely a good dive (except for my credstick ;-) )...

CRAP! I was in NYC a month and a half ago or so, and I was AT the ESB! I completely forgot to go looking for the CS. Dangit.

It didn't help that my in-laws were with us.

CS also covers board, card, tabletop miniature & historical strategy gaming in their stock, not just RPGs. You'll have to go past that first mid-isle gap to get to the rest. There's a display case there on the left side that has some of the finest hand-painted minis you can find. They also have a magnificent selection of Osprey guides that really bring out the details on military uniforms.

CS used to have a store uptown in the upper west 50's but they closed that one down a while back. It was mostly card & board games.
