What would a touch physical barrier do? Would it sit there if you sustained it and walked away, or would it surround you and follow you as you walked?

I suspect it would behave as a physical barrier that could only be called in to being at a range no greater than the length of your arm.

Well, it would also seem to allow a lower drain way to set up a wall barrier and then walk away. It's less clear whether you should be allowed to make a dome or sphere at touch range. Maybe if you crouch...
