Ok, I've been kicking this idea around in my head for quite some time (High school. About 1996). And when I picked up Star Wars d20 and then saw T3, (and finshed reading the 2 published fanfic books) I finally decided that I would get off my fat ass and use the d20 system to make this.
I figured that the level based design would work well for a military campaign game so I chose d20. So far I designed the classes, both basic and prestige, and started working on the various Terminators and HKs. Obviously this is going to all take place after Judgement Day. I would like to do 3 books. A main book, a human book and a Skynet book. If that's not possible, then I'll just put everything in one big pile. Anyone interested can email or PM me. |

I don't know anything at all about D20, but if you'd like some help coming up with background stuff I'd be willing to lend a creative hand. :cyber:

Yeah, any and all help is appreshated. Most of the background, like I said is from the 3 movies with a little bit from the books.
I wonder just how crazy/foolish/stupid/genius you have to be to try and hack SkyNet though... |

Why not using Shadowrun's system?

I did, when I was in High school. But I like the class based system for a military-style game (which this essentially will be). I also thought that MechWarrior (RPG) would be a good system to use, but it's a little complicated and Vehicle combat isn't included in the book.
Also, with the d20 rules available for free and I already own the Star Wars book, (of which this game will essentially be a hybrid of the two) I figured to do it this way. Besides, for all it's flaws d20 is an easy system to learn. Gotta give Wizards at least that. |

Yeah. It just seemed a little... excessive. I didn't want/need all that extra info (like stuff from the trading card game?) But he also didn't include the Terminatrix and the new Judgement Day (a virus as opposed to nuclear weapons).
I still want to add hackers and salvagers as well. |

I haven't even opened the file, let alone read any of it. I just pulled it off the web when I noticed you wanting input. I assume it was written well before T3, so wouldn't include a lot of the newer stuff. I didn't know it included anything on trading cards, etc. either. I just figured that if someone has done some of the groundwork already it would make things a little easier for you. :)

Must have been written before the first terminator movie then, since the first movie talked about the nuclear Judgement Day attack too, no mention of a virus...

No, the virus was my idea. Computer virus, not human one.
See below. [ Spoiler ] So maybe there was nuclear fire, you just didn't see it. |
