Is there any Shadowrun significance to that location? Reading that site (Site 1) as N/W puts it in Hestaby's back yard...

And I was mistaken earlier... it's Site 1 and 5 that aren't specified, not 3 and 5 as I said earlier. 3 is definitely in Seattle. 5 appears to be in the middle of nowhere any way you figure it... either Siberian or Canadian tundra, or the Indian or Pacific Ocean.

[ Spoiler ] In Missions, there is a run dealing with the Mars photos. The ones with the UFOs are fake, the ones with the pyramids and "dragon" bones are real. There was a mission in the 2010s to Mars after the probe found the bones. It was said to be another unmanned probe, but it was actually a manned mission. Only one person came back alive from that mission, with loads of photos and even samples of the bones. I can't remember all the details off the top of my head though about who faked the UFO pictures and why... The Abstruse One

After figuring out that some weird shit was up before the US government sold of NASA, they left sleeper agents in-place to infiltrate Ares Space and basically keep any knowledge of it from them. They also framed MUFON - I think - who were a special interest group dealing with ET's and aliens. That's off the top of my head.

Well, considering we're moving away from the BIG metaplot lines, and it's highly unlikely runners'll go to Mars in the foreseeable future, that ain't likely to happen. Although, I will say that there is the whole concept of the space ark and dragons coming from the stars mythos...but, let's go there when we get better evidence, hmm? Right now, we know: a)there were fairly advanced (evolution-wise) critters on Mars. b)something built pyramids there. 's about it.
