the problem is that light requires an ENOURMOUS spectrum to cover, not to mention IR, if you are putting it on the battlefield.

Sounds like they are going to take a run at visible next so we'll see how that works out. IR is the nextdoor neighbourhood of that at least.
You also don't really need absolute perfection to make it useful. Just the full IR bands alone would help a lot. |
