When you state that "in your book" you think someone has little morals, then you must be basing that statement on something concrete in comparison. Therefore I used the phrase "little-to-no morals". Note that I never once made any statement to the fact that the so called moral code is "less" than yours (specifically or in general). I purposely used the term "different".

And I stand by my statement.

Or is it your belief that any person who has ever done active duty with any military in the course of history is someone with "little morals".

QUOTE (Kruniac @ Nov 6 2006, 08:03 PM)
In my book, anyone who will take a life for money has little morals anyway. Of course, considering that 79% of Seattle is scum...  :cyber:

You need to be careful with that type of statement, as any cop or military could be considered to be taken money to take a life. The morals depend on the situation, not necessarily on the act.
If you are hired to take out a group of terrorists, does that mean that you have little or no morals? high morals?
I won't even go near farmers taking lives (non-sapient ones).

Also, on the question about disposing of bodies, depends on how you play ghouls. Do some, specially the born ghouls, retain intelligence? They need to eat flesh from metahumans to survive. My current group has a working relationship with a ghoul tribe. Any bodies that need to be disposed of are taken to the ghouls, with any cyberware sold and profits split between the group and the ghouls (or implanted in either group).

Now, I do need to say that the group tries their best to keep collateral damage to a minimum, often using non-lethal ammo, stabilizing or force 1 heal spells, enought to keep them alive, but not enough to allow them to become threats immediately.

I'm currently trying to make my group cause more collateral damage. They play gangers, and still they mostly go with gel rounds out of habit. I'm trying to get the point across that rival gangers will think they are pussies if everyone who messes with them can live to fight another day. At the same time I'm worried that they will become confused when they eventually move on to more professional jobs again. Oh well. You just have to be consistent in your logic and the players will learn what you concider appropriate behaviour.

That's actually pretty funny. :) Imagine, you're standing on a street corner. You're with a group of your friends, waiting for a movie. Suddenly, a car screams around the corner, a guy leaning out the passenger side window.

"Time to pay up, sucka!!"
*screams!*
ratatatatatatatatatatataatatatatat!!
::people running wildly, some falling down::
*car screams off into the night*
"What the hell? Why am I not dead?? Wait, gel rounds??!"

Mintcar,

You could get your gangers to drop off naked rival gangers in the barrens, or near a ghould haunt, or in other rival ganger territory, or near "Bubba" the troll, or washed in neet, then permanent dyied hot pink, etc...

Then, the other gangs might say "Go after anyone else, it's safer, the worst that happens is that we get killed, against XXXXX, it's much, much worse".

Hehe, yeah. But they are pretty much gangers out of necessity and the dirt poor kind at that. They're just trying to get by. Not the kind of people who plan on doing drivebys and stuff like that. But they will soon realize that even if you arm yourself mostly for defense, you can't show weakness in a world like the one they're living in.
