A Drop Bear wielding Excalibur and conquering England... :D
If Harley has in fact getting hisn hands again on his old sword and using it to [i]do good[(i] to England, it would as least give the eternal clown a serious approach. But IEs all the time? Nah. I hated it when it was revealed that IEs were many many improtant persons in history (Barbarossa and Eva Braun among others) and that Leonardo is one of their pack too. |

Frosty is probably the newest IE and son of Ethran the scribe. Hareley is training her now. She also has started posting on the new shadowland (i forget what they call it now).

Real name, Jane Foster ... Ehran's daughter, and Harley's semi-apprentice/protege. |

How do you know that it wasn't named Excaliber, and that the sword just wasn't important enough (or hadn't reached its potential) at that stage? ;) |

Suffice it to say I'll be pitching London for one of the upcoming location books, which one I'll leave it to you all to work out...
Mr. Michael Moorcock's Eternal Champion series has some brilliant ideas (though people tend to have a thing for Elric for some reason I tend to prefer Cornelius and Hawkmoon). Regardless, there's all that cyclical nature to the metaverse...
The master of New Weird and somewhat of an acquired taste. "Perdido Street Station", "The Scar", and "Iron Council" have made him my fave Brit author. Though the latter came out after SoE it definitely parallels a lot of my vision of the Underground.
The late-80's/early 90's runs. Before the US snatched up all the good writers.
As usual, your mileage may vary. |

The first part of the Elric story I thought was interesting. After that, I dunno, I got spent on it. I liked the ones that had multiple Champions/aspects. There was one that had like 5 of them, got into some weird metaphysical thing where they needed all their potential to stop something from devouring existence, and did a voltron bit where they jioned to make a truer aspect of the eternal champion... I just can't do it justice.
The coolest one was the first one where this guy is jsut chilling, and then suddenly is this huge Norse guy tring to figure out what's going on. Eventaulyl remembers who and what he is, and that his eternal cahmpion-ness was on vacation. Good times. Grinder: Too cheesy!? Come on! We've got immortal elves and drop bears! :spin: |

Nice to see another Hawkmoon fan. Though I draw the line at animalmasks (except in ED where I stole the Orders whole heartedly). A very interesting list of influences BTW,must read some China Mieville, this is the second recommendation he's got in three days. Does any one know where the City of Spires(I forget it's actual name, Sereathra or Shosara, I forget which) is? If it was on Britain Harle could be the Once and Future king. He was head of the Knights of the Crimson/Crying Spire. |

I'm pretty sure that Sereatha, the City of Spires, is in Latvia, just off the Gulf of Riga. Definitely not Britain. |

Yeah, I'm just trying to remember where they were. The Serethra and Shpsara I figured were respectivly Latvia/baltic and possibly Greenland (as a source for Thule myths). I was just wondering how to tie Harle to Britain. Unless there was a migration of the people at some point. I figured it was an elven city that the DIMR where digging up there.

I got "cheesy" from Martin Gotthard , one of the guys who wrote Target:Awakened Lands. That was his word for including the Noble Drop Bear. Credit where credit is due.
A lot of folks migrated, if ya' think about it. For starters, Harl/Cambieul was the ambassador to Blood Wood. At some point, BloodWood died/de-patternized. So all those elves had to go somewhere. Also, IceWing/Ghostwalker, and Mountainshadow/Dunkie both moved to N.A. Aina was in England at one point, no reason Harl couldn't have gone there. |

Mea culpa. :) As for Blood Wood: why did the IEs leave their homeland? I mean, even after the 4th Age was over and BW vanished, they could have stayed on its former location. |

Yeah, perhaps one of those things where any real hint is basically the same as the answer. Too bad. Worth a shot. At least we can answer Chicago's questions I guess.

LOL my questions are mere speculation on where the plot can go and who the players are on stage. From there Maybe we can make an accurate prediction about whats next on the list.
besides this is one of the better meta plots out there besides trying to save Chicago :D We chicagoans got a long way to go, but its SHE-CAI-GOH! Name another city that almost got burned down by a cow?! You can't wanna know why? Cuz it's SHE-CAI-GO home of Da Bears and Da Bulls |
