I'm just about to take a look through the quick start rules. While I'm at it, though, I'm curious about what your experiences have been with the game.

If you want a very complicated combat system, that is arguably the most realistic ever made, this is the game for you. If you want a decent system for anything except melee (social skills, archery, magic, stealth), this probably isn't for you. With a bit of work you might be able to use the melee system for riddle of steel, with rules for everything else from some other game and get a viable mix, but as it is on itself I don't think very highly of riddle of steel.

(I hope answering a question from november doesn't count as thread-necromancy here, but the poor guy got no answers at all)
