On page 1, "adequate" is probably not the appropriate word. "Befitting", "proper", or "appropriate" would be better choices IMO. (I am assuming english is not a first language and the distinction was lost in translation.)
[edit]Sphynx suggested you may have meant "accurate". This is probably more appropriate or accurate than my suggestion. [/edit] |

I love the art style. Very moody and atmospheric, almost reminiscent of the art style in Arkham Asylum, or some of the better photo manipulation art I've seen in game books. There are minor style improvements to be made in the writing, but those have already been brought up. I usually find the best method is to write it out, then read it back to yourself and see how it sounds, and adjust the narration and dialogue from there. Then, try reading it to a trusted friend, and repeat. :)

Thanks.
I was thinking of asking one of you (a native english speaker) to help me correct the writing. If anyone is interested, please apply here. Don't get me wrong, I'm not asking you to write the dialogues/narration/story for me. Your only role would be to correct my writing. I'm sure that a lot of you have excellent ideas on what should be in the comics, but I'd like to do it with my own ideas (even if feedback is appreciated). The website with the first pages should get online soon. It will be updated every month. I'm sorry there won't be any new pages for now. I just arrived in Hong Kong, and I need some time to settle down and find people to help me on this project. |

Ok, the website of "Another Runner in The Night" (or ARIN to its friends) is up here.
The website is in French, but the webcomic is in English. New pages will be added every month or so (next update planned for Feb 15th). The number of pages of each update isn't fixed, but expect something like 3 or 4 pages. |

You need to set the width of the comic on your page. In a smaller window it gets smushed. Try setting it to two collums. That way it will always be readable but not have a problem.
You might need to alter the PHP or have a second PHP for the actual comic. I like the graphic in the background. |

Actually it isn't my website, but the community website of the main French Shadowrun forum. The page resizes to fit the window, and indeed it can lead to some troubles for the webcomic.
@Dr_Dro and lorechaser : I replied to you, tell me if you don't get my e-mails. |

Blade, I like the alternate pics you used on page 4. Can't wait to see the rest of the story unfold.

Thread resurrection!
No, it's not yet for the Introduction nor Chapter 2. I've just finished laying out a High-Resolution version of the first Chapter so as to print it (probably through Lulu.com). I've only done it for the French version, but if anyone here is interested, I can do it for the English version as well. It should cost about 10 euros/15 US dollars (printing cost only, I'm not getting anything). But before printing anything, I'd like to make sure it's legal. I don't plan on getting any money out of this, but Lulu's printing services aren't free, so people (me included) will still have to pay to get something that uses Wizkids' IP. I don't think it's a problem, since what's sold is the printing service and not the content, but I don't know enough about International copyright law to be sure it's really legal. |

The introduction is finally done and I'm starting to work on chapter 2 (don't expect it anytime soon, though, it's a bit more ambitious than the first one and I've got less free time).
I didn't get any answer from my proofreader so I'm looking for a native English speaker to proof read the introduction before publishing it. If you're interested, just send me a PM and we'll work out the details. |
