Hidden mode says your hidden and nodes don't notice you unless you access them. Can you be in hidden mode while probing the target?
Assuming you can then once you're inside making changes, etc it seems like they wouldn't need to scan to find you. Just matrix perception to notice the persona right and you could be protected by stealth? |

ARGHHHH!!!! So many hacking threads! Yes - you can be in hidden mode whilst probing a target. You just can't be completely wi-fi turned off, which means theoretically, someone can be hacking you. Once you're inside the hacked node, then no - they don't need to locate your hidden commlink. They just need to detect the hidden persona which is present inside their node. Note that they could then use tracking to trace your origin back to the commlink (and your physical location with it) regardless of its hidden status. |
