Okay I recruiting for a SR4 game. As implied by the sub title I'm planning on going for heavy Characterisation, tone should is towards horror (I hope), with a solid dash of mystery, violence and general weird shit.
I am looking for 4-5 players. 3-4 of you will be making Shadowrunners, and will have some points (450) and some karma (100) to build you characters some wiggle room is available on these if characters require it. You're Prime Runners with some international work under your belt. This will not be your first job together, but that doesn't mean you have to have worked together a lot. We'll co-ordinate here to sort out that side of things. The other player I have other plans for so I'll need one brave volunteer to be screwed royally by the plotline, sorry I mean to have a central role in the plot. The only stipulation I place on this person is that he/she is a mage. We'll discuss details in private about that... I need someone reliable for this part as he's the crux of the idea. The game will start off in Boston in 2070, a town still trying to heal the scars left by the Crash of 2064. Notes for creation are listed below in the spoiler. This will be an Adult themed game, however I would prefer a team of characters who can be seen as tarnished heroes though I'm not asking for outright paladin types. [ Spoiler ] I'm looking at kicking off as the new year rolls in so consider Christmas something of a deadline for starting submissions. |

And I'd love to do a run in Boston, god I loved living there! |

Oh man, this looks good. I'll start looking up my books and work out something too, probably something of a PI/adept character more than anything. No, not gonna volunteer for the sacrificial lamb character, better Vegas than me.

I would be interested in joining up. You mentioned that you want the sacrificial character to be a mage and Vegas already asked for thast slot. I would be interested in playing a shaman or mage and wanted to know if you have room for more than one spellcaster in the party.

I'm cool with what ever party make up I get really, mages in addition to the "victim" would be fine, and would make sense with the set up I have in mind.

Okay well since he seems to want it Vegas gets the position of refs butt monkey. Lucky him :D
I'm not even going to start handing out positions as yet, but I do believe in giving some points for early interest. Hell if I end up with a lot of interest I may go crazy and run two groups. I'll have to see. |

Wow - this looks like it'll be a great game! I was going to wait and just PM a character once I got it done, but things may fill up fast, and I want that "early interest consideration".
Ophis, if you have a preference between occult investigator and stealth adept, let me know - currently torn between two concepts, but leaning toward the investigator. |

You've got a great of a cast of characters lined up.
I'm interested in playing, but I'm in the midst of finals and a manufacture deadline at the moment. I'll get a CS as soon as I can. Considering a non-traditional stealth adept or possibly a technical type. |

Hey they're hard to see at this distance... I'm quite cool with Occult investigator type characters. As a warning I'm intending to start with the none Vegas runners in the middle of the run, just so the plot gets going straight out, you'll be working for some one looking into a missing persons case, not fully decided who the employer is but it may be the Draco Foundation. [edit]Added a couple of bits to the karma section in the first post that I had forgotten. |

Ophis - update on my situation - didn't hear a preference from you, so I'm going with occult investigator. Look for my sheet in your PM box sometime my Monday night (around midday for you) at the latest.
Competition is looking pretty tough for this one. If I make the cut, cool. If not, I'll have had fun working up my character idea. |

Currently I'm not counting any one out. If everyone interested stays interested I'd have enough for running two teams thru some interrelated plot lines.
So far only Vegas is confirmed as my uh hem victim for what I shall call the first group. If people submit sheets and Backgrounds to me I'll look them over and sort the groups into teams of runners at least provisionally. |

well, late. bad timing i guess :)
In case you get a second team going and need another 'victim' I'd be in for that. In the meantime I'll work out a normal char, going to be something along the line of a 'traditional' bear shaman. |

Does that make me a lady? Dammit! I was just getting used to growing facial hair. I might be up for playing an infiltration style adept in your second team, though I'm still green. |

I wouldn't be against any type of character really. Given the level of interest I'm getting i will be running this as two groups.
1) This team with Vegas will be doing some nasty investigative work, going for a psychological/supernatural horror style. Thinky and talky. 2) A second team will be doing a more aggressive survival horror type set up, more combat for more thuggish characters. As yet i have no firm ideas about who's in or out but then I only have two concepts so far. |
