Healing Procedures, what exactly happens? Options

if you've taken damage...any damage...
you've had --> First aid
you've had --> Magical Healing

now you are at the hospital and having "medicine" applied (he gets 4 hits)
your first healing roll you roll body x2 + hits from medicine - any modifiers..
your second roll do you still get those extra dice?
seems pretty clear to me but the rest of the group is complaining and argueing about what happens, any help to present to themm the hows and whys would be much appreciated.

p. 242 bottom right, last sentence. It applies to any subsequent healing tests. Pretty clear, really.
