"The subject can hear/see distant sounds/scenes as if physically present at a chosen point within the sensory range of the spell." Yet the spells only have a range of touch.

"While using clairaudience, the subject cannot use her normal hearing."
"The subject cannot use normal vision or astral perception while using [clairvoyance]."

What is the point in these two spells? Perhaps they'd be of use to a blind person or a deaf person. The thought occurs to me, while using these spells, can a person be affected by a flashbang? After all, they're not using their "real" senses to hear/see. Perhaps that's why these spells are used.

The spells center on the touched target and radiate outward based on the caster's magic as per the rules.

The point of the spell is to let you see or hear as if you were someplace else within the range of the spell. So, if I understand the spell correctly, you could cast this spell centered on self, and see what is going on in the next room. Your body's senses would be shut down for the duration of the spell in favor of the "remote input" coming from the spell.

If you touch another person, so that you essentially hear/see things from his perspective, then that person walks out of the room, out of line of sight back to your body, does the spell fail? Can you keep clairaudiencing and clairvoyancing around him for as long as you want to sustain the spell and as long as your body can go without sleeping/nourishment?

Could this be used to "go to a meet" with a teammate without actually going to the meet?

The spells don't interfere with your ability to speak -- although you couldn't hear/see anything around your body, you're not a vegetable, so you could be hearing/seeing things from your teammate's perspective and speaking to him through your comlink. Since you can't hear your personal immediate surroundings, unless your teammate's reply was audible enough that your clairaudience could pick it up -- enough that the Johnson could hear it, you wouldn't be able to hear your teammate's reply, but he could still hear what you were saying over the comlink, correct?

You still get to use your tactile sense, so you could stand up, feel your way to a computer and (assuming that you're a touch typist) type away? Maybe call someone on the phone?

Perhaps you could have a technomancer or hacker set a spoofed phone system up ahead of time -- something that wouldn't reveal what number you were calling from. Then you could ride a teammate to the meet. While there, your teammate tells the Johnson that they'll have to check with "their boss". Your teammate then asks the Johnson if he has a secured cell phone and what his number is. As soon as the Johnson says what the number is, you then feel your way to the phone, touch-dial the number, and tell the Johnson that you accept the terms as liste -- all of this occuring after your teammate at the meet has bargained for acceptable terms and has made the "secret sign" of placing his left hand out on the table or whatever the secret sign of assent is.

That little rigamarole would make the Johnson think that you have ties to some sort of larger well organized group, possibly helping to prevent a double cross, as the Johnson doesn't know who else knows of the meet and how much anyone else knows about what was discussed.

Your first 3 paragraphs are covered already with the 'Shared [Sense]' spells that were added in Street magic.

Of course in my games all but the most desperate or weak Johnsons would simply walk away from a group after they tried to pull that little stunt, and the group would be lucky if they didn't get put on someone's cleaning list if the Johnson thought that his mission was fracked.

If you cast a detection spell like clairvoyance on another person, you give them that sense. You do not gain it yourself centered on them.

Basically, you choose a target, whom you must touch. That target can be yourself. Insert "touching yourself" joke here. The target gains the sense, and it works within a radius from that person equal to the spell's force times the caster's Magic (times 10 if it's the extended range version of the spell).

Thanks for that bit on sharing senses -- I don't own Street Magic.
