I've noticed that a few common words around here are flagged by the spellchecker as being misspelled. Words like SR, Shadowrun, I'd (for some reason it wants to correct it to i'd, which is completely incorrect).
Could this be changed? |

Well, it has a "learn" feature, but I've never been able to notice that it's actually keeping the words I tell it to learn.
Then again, I don't use it anymore (FF2 includes inline spell checking in forms, including the Fast Reply and Add Reply boxes here). |

I use IE 7 as FF2 has some problems with cookies and and saving my favorite webpages.
FF2 has problems with repeatedly renewing cookies, such as if a website forum uses cookies to mark whether or not you've viewed particular posts or particular threads in a forum and the cookies need to be renewed every time the page is refreshed. FF2, no matter how I tell it to, just stubbornly refuses to pick up those cookies every time. That's part of the reason that I went back to IE. I read a lot of webcomics and I have a shortcut in my Favorites to the last page that I left off reading. Every few days I go visit again, pick up where I left off, read the new comics, then bookmark my new spot. In IE, because it saves bookmarks according to the page title, as long as the title of the page is the same, it replaces the old bookmark. In FF2, it goes by the page address and so when I bookmark my new stopping spot, I have to go through and delete my old bookmarks. After about the hundredth time of doing this one week, I got really fed up with deleting old bookmarks just because FF2 wouldn't replace my older bookmarks like IE does and went back to IE. Anyway, it would be nice for a Shadowrun forum's spell checker to not flag the word Shadowrun as a mispelled word. |
