Hi,

This might be of interest to some of you here. I took the time to write up a very short adventure. There are a few holes still to fill in, but I thought I might as well post it. It's geared toward starting characters and is not particularly complex, being basically a straightforward run. However, it might do as an emergency mission when you're put on the spot and need to run something small without interfering with the general campaign, or else could be canabalised for ideas, maps, etc.

Anyway, I take the time for this sort of stuff as much for feedback as for contributing to the community, so any comments or corrections are welcome.

My site is here and the direct download is here.

-K.

EDIT: And thanks to those who provided me with the Shiawase logo. ;)

Yeah I saw that too. That was great.

I thought the adventure was very thorough, especially the facility. Great for a B&E team. Good cause you need a bit more than just dice, need to think through it. I also liked the motivation. much better than "our competitor has this. We want it." Would be interesting to see what different groups would do to cover the objective of the run, assuming they were detected.

Thank you. I was quite pleased with that. It came out as a response to many people's blasé dismissal of attributes at six. Made me want to point out just how extraordinary augmented stats are. Shame I can't figure out a way to similarly represent augmented agility, reaction and intiative. Knife trick from Aliens, perhaps?

There's not a great deal to the adventure, but I tried to add in the sort of flavour and reality that I do when I'm actually running a game. I think details like the warnings on the fence and the wrecked surveillance camera are vital for creating a mood. I also tried to show a little more detail on the target site. Not just an office block that makes some mysterious product that no-one knows what it is. I should probably go back and do internal maps for the main building and med-hut.

Thank you for the feedback. I can view downloads on my site and see I've done about seventy downloads which is nice. Comments from those who've taken the time to make them are always appreciated.

Cheers,

-Khadim.

It's definetely the little details and twists that make it more than your average B&E job.

I liked the metatypes page too BTW.

Small mistake, the Johnson is listed as six essense and yet he has a datajack. Technically it should be 5.9 essense.

Well, we just played through "Cold Blood." and had a blast (literally).

Essentially, after the meet with Johnson, they tried to hack their way into the computer system, and managed to get Security access on the office node. After doing some research there, they found out whose blood sample they were switching out; after that, it was a matter of some simple Matrix searching to find out who their Johnson was, which raised some eyebrows.

While they were waiting for the afternoon shift to end, the black ops specialist infiltrated in close enough that the hacker could bounce through his commlink and hack into the security node, and managed to gain security access there via the use of edge. After that, it was simply a matter of editing the camera feeds and monitoring the locations of the guards when they infiltrated the medical building and replaced the blood sample.

As for the sabotage cover, the hacker has demo, but the black ops doesn't, so the black ops provided sniper cover, after unlocking the door into the power transformers, for the hacker while he placed an entire kilo of rating 10 foam on the transformers.

As they drove off, the hacker, laughing manically, pressed the remote detonator button.

BOOOM!

I told them that they saw a mushroom cloud rising behind them as the facility went dark, and they could hear the klaxons start to howl as they drove off.

Later, they gave the blood sample (after having promised to the Johnson to destroy it, but neglecting to specify when) to a street doc contact of theirs and asked him to analyze it; later that afternoon, he commed them and told them whoever that blood belonged to, they were midway into transforming into a ghoul and that they needed to be careful around that person.

You're welcome. Let me know if you have any comments or suggestions. There's also another thread around here somewhere called "Carnival" that has my other written up adventure (which is considerably bigger).
