Stitch visibly stiffens at Badger's words, and he has to work a few moments to compose himself. Assuming the worst with regards to the fee - that it was for the group, rather than per individual - and of course, the Johnson jumped all over that fatal misassumption. 5K - about what you would expect for a quick extraction run - for a long-term job like this? He'd better remind this eccentric amateur Johnson that you get what you pay for.
"I think, since our patron is covering our travel expenses and providing us with fake identities, that the less obviously augmented or armed people should just take a plane to Denver, rent a car, and do some preliminary scouting while waiting for the rest of the group to arrive. Since we're obviously being hired for a short-term job, we need to expedite things. And yes, an optical chip with information about Iris would also speed things up." Stitch silently contemplates his own list of contacts, mentally cringing as Gravyboat and Wendy rise to the top of the list. Gravyboat is not needed yet - he will be provided documents by his employer - but it wouldn't hurt to check a few things out with Wendy, to see if that crazy fanatic knows anything about either their target or his suspected abductor. |

Lilt, ever the image of calmness, has turned his attention from the image of the target back to the group during the negotiations.
"Well: What transport will we need once inside? I would be fine with my van or bike. It dosen'seem that powerhouse is usually transported, but VV says he will get him in and out, so all we need for him is a more subtle form of transport than him running around once we're inside." Lilt, with barely any notion of jamaican accent left, goes on "I would suggest that a road-freighter-train operator could be payed to hold us in the a carriage or two, no questions asked, where we could take whatever transportation we desired. I very much doubt they'd bother with a thorough search, and we could have a fake front of soy-banana boxes against the entrance as a proof against casual checks. The component trucks would be transported to a prearranged location where we would, late at night, emerge. That way we could all travel close together, even Powerhouse, and have transport on-hand in the Soux. The same arrangements could be made for returning to seattle." |

"Multiple vehicles, once we're on the trail, will make things easier -- trailing or intercepting a target, performing stakeouts, and the like. It'll also be damned useful if one vehicle is damaged or crippled -- we're not likely to be able to spend days lounging around while an axle's getting swapped out because of a frag-up during pursuit. I'm in agreement with Valentine in this particular. I don't know what vehicles each of you might have, but flexibility in transportation would be an excellent idea."
Badger looked over at Kat and Valentine. "The newlyweds idea is solid cover. As for alternative vehicles, either my SUV or that guy's" -- he gestures at the Rastafari, never having heard his name -- "van could probably carry a bike or two. Stitch could either ride with one of us or fly ahead to Denver to handle initial groundwork." "And speaking of flights to Denver, who here is likely to get past a high-quality implant-scanner with no trouble?" |

"Don't worry about the airport security for now. It's trivial at this point. We need to decide on a plan of attack first, then hash out the details therein."

Lilt nods. "Lilt's ma name, I'm a doctor. I presume I was brought in by VV to judge de target's health and state of mind, and to make-sure de target gets-out alive."

Kat gives Badger a look which screams, without actually saying anything, suggesting I pretend to be married to that oaf will get you into some serious hurt. She doesn't outright object, though.

"Bear in mind that the False Identification will be limited in its monetary functionality while the rest of its nature will be anything but substandard. If certain permits are to be added in, VV will need to be alerted of such. As for your individual purposes, if you don't know already, then you obviously haven't thought about the job. It seems as though the bulk of the meeting is coming to a close; however, you will recieve all appropriate materials as they become available. It should take approximately 5 days barring any extrenuous circumstances."

Stitch raises an eyebrow when Lilt announces his profession. "My, my. Well, I'm a doctor too - good at magical and mundane healing alike - so our benefactor must want to make very sure our target gets out alive."
Having recovered his composure, Stitch seems to be in a better humor, but he is still thinking to himself, as parts of this job are not adding up - the guy in armor is being treated as vital to the mission, even though he is the least useful-seeming person for what they were hired for. Eccentric as the Johnson is, Stitch doubts he would jeapordize his goals because of a mecha fetish. His synapses are firing blanks right now, but he vows to ponder the mystery more later. |

Glancing around in the sudden lull that descended upon the conversation, Badger eyes their prospective employer. "Alright, I'm in. We can all meet up at another locale in the near future and further discuss travel and retrieval plans. However, before we disperse, I for one would appreciate getting that information on the target and the presumed abductor on chip."
He pauses, then raises an eyebrow at the hirsute humanoid hunkered in his chair. "Additionally, though it pains me to mention it, I believe you indicated that half of the sum to be awarded upon completion of the effort was to be disbursed to us tonight. Once that's taken care of, we'll be prepared to act on your behalf." |
