Do you need to run a command program every time you want to send an order to your Agent or Drone?
... or is it only used when you are trying to guide a thing directly? As in subverting it's pilot brain. |

I'm kinda shaky on this, too, but I think it's used in place of the Attribute when directly controlling the actions of a device through the Matrix. For example:

iirc, there are 3 ways to control a drone.
1. you tell it what to do and the dog brain pilot tries to figure out how. 2. you use the command program and AR to control it as if it was a RC car or similar... 3. you go full immersion, rigger style. that is, you feel like your running while the drone moves and so on. |

You can remote control a device (using the Command program) in VR or AR. Jumped-in rigging requires you be in VR and the device have the rigger adaptation.
When remote controlling, you roll your Command program + a relevant active skill for any rolls you have to make for the device's actions. When rigging, you roll one of the device's attributes (usually Response or Sensors) + a relevant active skill for any actions. |
