How do i calculate the CM of a spirit? Same way as with characters?

IN the (http://pavao.org/shadowrun/cheatsheets/SR4SpiritRef.pdf) there has the "spirit of man" for example F+17/2 PHsysical Monitor..... Why? How?

And how can a magician see if a spirit is bound ?

thanks.

Yes, absolutely.

So, that's actually the correct formula for everybody. However, it's slightly poorly expressed in the forum text. It should be (B+17)/2. So Body 1 has 9 boxes, right? 8 + (1/2 round up) = 9. If you plug that in as (1+17)/2 you also end up with 9. The author of that cheatsheet happens to teach computer programming. I rather suspect that for him it was easier to break things down into a formula. ;)

An assensing test should reveal that. I don't see it explicitly spelled out on the Assensing chart (SR4, p.183), so it's a GM's call. IMO, it'd fall under the 3 point threshold as information revealed as part of the astral signature of the spirit. Other GMs might argue that it falls under the two point threshold as part of the "class of a magical object."
