Yeah, Puck, as an ex-Otaku, would probably believe and sympathise with TM's long before others would, and would probably know a lot more than the others.

I supose the real question would be, do they know that he knows them? :cyber:

Perhaps, assuming that he just isn't bitter about the lost of his powers and is on a personal mission to regain them by any means necessary.

Most likely they told him. It's hard to know someone's a technomancer without them proving it to you. They're probably already close friends or family members.

If Puck has been chatting happily about how TMs discuss storing their dreams prior to emergence, suddenly, this whole 'new' thing isn't.

I noticed the same thing; my thought on it is that this discussion took place during the course of Emergence.

Of course, then we have a few other problems, like the Hong Kong Incident (as that isn't discussed in RH), but that's the least disruptive explanation in terms of the timeline.

Emergence begins in 2069 and runs through 2070. Runner Havens is uploaded in early February 2070 with shadowtalk posting after that. The Hong Kong Incident occurs in late June 2070 long after Runner Havens is posted, while comments like Puck's are concurrent with events in chapter 1 and 2 of Emergence. One assumes Puck has been doing some digging of his own parallel to Netcat's and Sunshine's.

Then you have a typo in chapter 1; Slamm-0!'s hijacked Renraku memo is dated for January of 2070.

Still, that makes sense--it clears up how the Whampoans can have the "largest concentration of technomancers in Hong Kong" in a city where they are being actively hunted down--the hunt isn't on yet.
