I´m just buying "Runner Havens" from a shop here on Brazil, and the shop owner told me that they have other 2 books of Shadowrun (but 3rd and not 4th). Those two books are "Celtic Double Cross" and "Man & Machine".

Since i've never played or GMed Shadowrun games before 4th Edition (and i guess, i not intent to), any of those books is worth buying (as reference material)? Man & Machine is bit pricey, but Celtic Double Cross in on a good price (at least, fits my budget).

Thanks in advance.

Man & Machine is the 3rd edition cyberware sourcebook-obsolete, especially with Augmentation due out later this year, unless you plan on doing some 3rd edition games.

Celtic Double Cross is actually a 2nd edition adventure set in Tir na nOg-not bad, and can be updated to 4th edition, but not essential reference material by any means.

Both of those books will have a limited value to you. SR3 and SR4 are very different game mechanics. Most of the gear in M&M will have to be converted, then may be rendered null, when/if Arsenal/Augmentation comes out.

I own a copy of Celtic Double-cross and I think it's great. I'm also a huge fan of Divided Assets (which I also own).

If you want to purchase and run older SR adventures I highly recommend both of them.
