Is it valid to command a bound force 5 spirit (with logi/intu 5) with:
"Engage to the best of your ability those targets I designate and do the best job possible at making them dead until astral perception shows they are dead. If you don't understand these instructions ask for clarification now please." It would fail at dawn/dusk when the service expired but wouldn't it work well until then? I know it would fail on force 1-2 spirits due to low log/intu but a smart spirit could take a complex order, right? Its lawyering to be sure with the intent of not paying 2500 in binding materials just so the spirit's service can't be nickled and dimed into one punch and then the service ending. Thoughts? Disclaimer: Most GMs hold true to intent of the summoner and engage reaonably well for a reasonable time. This is written more for those games where the GM is being a butthead. |

I wouldn't allow it, Spirit Services being burnt through quickly is one of the balancing limitations on what would otherwise be an overpowered to the point of being broken tool.

No wordsmithing is ever going to get around a difference in fundamental understanding and interpretation of game rules between the player and gm. The player and GM need to work it out.
In my experience each combat uses a single service, not all combats for all day count as a single service. |

Go on. Wish for more wishes.
:) Seriously, a simple "Get 'em!" is enough for most spirits ... odds are, they're smarter than your team Samie. (Logic = Force) |

In 99% of games yes. Its the 1% of usually convention games run by adversarial GMs that make me wanna prepare a lawyered spirit-order. |
