Both of the isotopes they specifically mention (cobalt 60 and chromium 51) are gamma emitters. LEts hope they didn't lose too much.

...considering there have been cover ups in the past concerning nuclear accidents in Japan makes me a bit nervous. Granted this was not a Chernobyl size meltdown but should a quake trigger a more catastrophic event than this one, effects could eventually be felt as far away as the northern pacific coast given the prevailing wind currents and storm tracks.

Looks like it's time to get a lead lined bumbie & the cyberarm to hold it...:grinbig:
