News of a PDF sometime next week just totally changed my mood around after I came home to find my bike stolen. Is it going to be a monday thing I hope?

WARNING: I do not have any info (beyound what you have)!!!

WARNING: This is my personal opinion

I do not put any stock in the rumors of when things are going to come out unless the word comes from FanPro (or now IMR?). Augmentation has had release dates (official or unofficial) not for 6 months. I know FanPro has been working on SR but.... to repeat myself, I dont put stock in release dates unless they come official channels. Especially when SR is concerned.

Hello everyone, it’s time for our weekly update.

Before you do anything else, go vote for Street Magic to win the ENnie award for best supplement. Do it!

I’m sorry to say that I still don’t have an exact street release date for Emergence. The book is now in our hands, though, and I suspect it will be in stores the first week of August, so look for it then.

On the other hand, Augmentation is off to the printer, and I’m excited, because the book kicks ass. It features a whole lot of cyberware items, cyberlimb options, bioware, nanoware, and gene treatments that are completely new to Shadowrun, in addition to updates of the stuff you’d expect to see ported over from SR3. It also covers new ground with biosculpting, biotech symbionts, genetic infusions, biodrones, and full-body cyborgs. You’ll also find the usual fiction and source material flavor text, info on the corps who dominate the medtech fields, new qualities for augmented characters, easy rules for surgery, and an optional rule for handling severe wounds. It really is a must-have book for Shadowrun.

We’ll have a full preview for you next week, and the PDF will likely also go up on sale next week. In the meantime, here’s an art preview featuring some of the new artists we used for Augmentation, as well as a few of our regulars:

It's a joke because of the character called Changeling in the Teen Titans comic (also known as Beast Boy) and the changelings in Shadowrun, which is a term referring to individuals who have experienced SURGE (Sudden Unexplained Genetic Expression).

I'd be more concerned about someone who had Shape Earth and Levitate. You can't trust those kinds of magicians.

Or at least, you can't trust them not to whore themselves out to pedophile cyborg assassins and betray your team to blood mages.

Ugh; yeah, that's probably more confusing than it needs to be, since the shadowrunrpg.com server is still in a european time zone. The Shadowrun "weekly update" -- which generally will contain a variety of stuff, not like the specific Shadowrun Missions updates or other such updates -- will normally be Weds/Thurs, since the Classic BattleTech BattleBlogs normally go online on Monday.

You're killing me. :dead:

For two years I've been waiting for this book. Then it was supposed to come out after Arsenal. Then it got bumped up. Then there was the weekly update and associated posts saying "this week", and claiming 75 new enhancements in addition to 4th ed. updates of all the old ones. I've been checking the website once an hour for the last three days. And now, Adam, you tell me "maybe Wed./Thurs."

Zen Shooter, the only reference that I can possibly see that you're referring to is my note in the Missions: Patient Zero post that there would be "More about that [Augmentation] later this week" -- and there was: the art preview. I made *NO* promises that it would be available the week of the 16th-22nd, and as late as the 16th had the following to say in the Genetech book? thread: There is no final release date for the PDF or the print release, as the book isn't at press yet.

The PDF will be available the week of the 23rd-29th, probably later in the work-week.

Adam:

Yeah, I know. When I wrote "this week" on the afternoon of Sunday, the 22nd, I meant, in the next seven days. I see that I should have said "this next week".

I'm in a frenzy of anticipation and being pitilessly teased by one increasingly less vague ".very soon now" announcement after another.

It's at the Shadowrun RPG Main Page. So I don't think it qualifies as secret.
