The nexus area effect is an area range effect that originates from the caster. It can be applied to any spell instead of the regular Area effect and follows the normal rules.

Nexus Area: Drain Modifier +2

Mana spells will only affect those in LOS with the caster and within magic attribute meters and elemental effect spells will affect anyone within 360 degrees and within Magic rating meter.

Highly useful for close combat oriented mages and very popular amongst warrior type casters like followers of Thor...

Although the caster isn't affected by the initial effect of the spell the secondary effects might be a problem depending on location - blasting off a Nexus Fireball within a rickety wooden shed might not be a bright idea...

Extended Area of this type should only be used by the mad, homocidal or those that dont care about their team members, or have nothing left to loose.

Darn, according to SM i cannot have extended area fireball with an explosive area of Magic X Force X 10.

Silly, the dangers of ever using it in an urban setting should make it seldom used anyway...

wait, i forgot, there are always munchkins and toxic mages.

Hmm, extended area NUKE with radiation elemental effect...
