Looking at Critters, it appears B is related to size, S can be 0, C is not a factor, I is about 2/4 unless the animal doesn't depend on sense of smell to hunt (or only sense of smell as shark) or has unique sense (bat), W is 2 with a few exceptions, E is 6, R is Q+1 for predators and Q-1 for herbivores

As far as the porcupine goes, here's what canon has to say about it's Awakened cousin.

QUOTE (p.47 Critters)
Notes: Damage Code shown above is for melee attack (claw, bite).  In melee attack, any attacker must make a Quickness Test using the creature's Essence as the target number to avoid getting stuck by quills.  If the character rolls no successes, the quills do 6L damage.  Resist damage normally.  Modify the target number for the Quickness Test by -1 for each point of Reach above 1 provided by the character's melee weapon.

The '6L' may be slightly lower in the non-volleying porcupine, but it sounds about right to me (:

I would think most critters would automatically get at least a partial camoflague bonus (Aside from obviously absurd cases like brightly colored parrots) simply because they're small and usually colored to match the ground. A chameleon only really gets good adaptive coloration when it's been sitting for a while, maybe a +1 to TN for every minute it stays without moving with a maximum of +6.

One reason I inquired was concerning the Shapechange and Transform spells. You need a Body score to calculate TNs. Also, it would be nice to know reach and damage codes.

How about stats for extinct critters? T-Rex, raptors, saber-tooth tigers, wooly mammoth, dodo... These are not para-critters, so are they viable for shapechange and transform?

Also saw someone mention changing sex. Is this a shapechange/transform ability?

Mammoths aren't extinct. The Siberian seperatists go round rising them up in their neck of the woods. They've got some nifty powers as well - aside from being a massive walking insulator if it gets really cold. :)
