Electric Sheep (Do androids dream of electric sheep, Philip K Dick)
Owning this item launches the user on a deeply psychological quest to determine if he is truly man or machine, and what it means to be one or the other, can be extreamly confusing, most of all to cyborgs. |

You really shouldn't get me thinking about this type of thing. I drive a forklift at work, so I have way too much time to think.
The Suit (Greatest American Hero) As form-fitting and light as a unisex leotard, the Suit counts as Hardened armor 20. Easily concealed beneath normal clothes, but totally obvious if worn alone. The Suit can duplicate nearly any spell known (and possibly many not known to metahumanity) if one knows how to do it. Example (levitate is activated by running forward 3 steps and then jumping) The Suit comes with a manual describing exactly how to use the Suit to maximum potential. However if the wearer rolls a critical glitch on any test while wearing the Suit, the manual vanishes or is destroyed. The Cosmic Key (Masters of the Universe movie) A small cylinder with numerous pushbuttons on it. Each button makes a musical note and a small holographic display above the device. When the proper combination of keys is pressed, an astral rift is opened allowing numerous people/vehicles to pass into the Metaplane designated and out the other side to any destination/time. The dwarf who made the first one vanished after asking someone to pull his final note "out of the air". Lisa (Weird Science movie) Lisa is either a) A free spirit Anima with strong Trickster tendencies, spellcasting and technomancer abilities. or b) A full body clone, custom made and inhabited by a rogue A.I. with magical abilities Max Headroom (80's commercials and tv series) A.I. talkshow host with a stut-stut-stuttering problem. The General Lee (The Dukes of Hazzard) This car, painted in traditional CAS colors, is able to jump any ravine, ditch, creek, etc..., land on all 4 tires and drive away without any structural damage so long as the horn is blown while the car is in mid-air. Green Lantern's Ring (DC comics) All of the ring's powers are used with Willpower as the linked attribute. The ring allows the wearer to use, at will, any physical manipulation spell, Punch, Clout, or Blast spells. It has the appearance of Green energy. It is unable to affect anything yellow and must be recharged once every 24 hours with it's lantern, 1 combat turn. |

Way too much time to think.
Slurm (Futurama) This disgusting substance is the breast milk produced by a Queen Termite spirit invested in a Flesh Form. It is an extraordinarily addictive substance. Duration 10x1d6 minutes, effect is to alleviate thirst, and paradoxically to make the consumer crave only Slurm to drink. Addiction threshold is 2 and is usually a mild to moderate addiction. The Farnsworth Parabox (Futurama) This .5 meter per side cardboard box contains a permanent 2 way astral gateway to one specific metaplane, which is likely (1-5 on 1d6) to contain 1-6 more Parabox's Clone-O-Mat (Futurama) This machine is able to create a full body clone from any cell sample, allowing it to grow and mature normally without any abnormal brain function for up to 8 years. It is incompatible with accelerated growth treatments. The Ark of the Covenant (Raiders of the Lost Ark) This .5 meter by 1 meter gold box, when opened, will completely destroy anyone looking at it. Closing one's eyes protects one completely from this effect. The Holy Grail (Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade) This small clay cup, when filled with any liquid, becomes a drinkable liquid causing the imbiber to heal immediately any wound, illness, or disease affecting them. It may also cause the immediate expulsion of any bioware, nanoware, or cyberwear and may immediately restore the drinkers' Essence score back to it's natural value of 6. It may also reverse the Magic loss of a burned out mage. The False Grail (Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade) This gem encrusted chalice, when filled with any liquid, becomes a drinkable liquid causing the imbiber to immediately die in a horrible and painful manner, aging within 1 minute to the point where the body crumbles into dust and blows away. |

The Van [The A-team/TV]
When driven this vehicle is able to keep up with any vehicles it pursues. It is also able to shake any pursuers. It can make any jump and only needs to be refueled once a season. The Van contains a lockbox in the rear containing The A-Team's Weapons Stash [see previous]. However The Van is only able to execute its various special maneuvers when the pilot jerks the steering wheel back and forth in a violent manner. Additionally if a critical glitch is rolled on any Van related test the test and possibly Van fail. [eg a kid runs in front of The Van during pursuit, the axle breaks on a jump, the antenna is shot off when being chased so that while getting away the runners now have no wi-fi whatsoever] The Bluesmobile [The Blues Brothers/movie] This black and white police car can out drive, outrun, and out jump any car in the world. It is also indestructible until the final scene of the campaign. Unfortunately the cigarette lighter does not work. Gil Grissom's Flashlight [CSI/TV] possession of this flashlight allows the owner to succeed in every perception test. It also requires the wielder to make bad puns. Gibbs' Glare [NCIS/TV] The person using the Glare succeeds in every intimidation test they attempt as long as they remain silent. Note: use of this technique may cause one to forfeit initiative passes. And wives. |

Rom's Neutralizer (Rom comic book series)
This powerful device when beamed at shapeshifters can be used to open an astral rift, sending them into the rift. The weapon can also be set to kill by neutralizing essence, or to neutralize all magical energies within the subject, rendering mages instantly mundane, countering all spells, and transforming metaraces back to human, permanently. It can only be wielded by someone with an essence of 0.1 or less. If used by someone with more essence, the first essence it neutralizes is that of the wielder. Forge's Neutralizer (Rom comic book series and X-Men comics) This much less powerful device can "only" neutralize all magical energies within a subject temporarily, rendering mages temporarily mundane, countering spells, and transforming metaraces back to human, temporarily. Mjolnir (Thor and Avengers comics) This heavy warhammer, apparently made of an odd magical metal that appears to be stone, is a +5 weapon focus, +5 spell focus (lightning spell), +5 air spirit focus (when conjuring/controlling an air elemental to make a storm), +5 spell focus (levitate spell), +5 spell focus (Physical barrier spell, personal area only) Mjolnir is also capable of opening an astral rift to the metaplane of the wielder's choice. |

Holly (Red Dwarf)
Pilot program, rating 7. Unfortunately, it's also insane and never listens to commands. Elvish sword of great antiquity (Zork) Your sword has begun to glow very brightly. MacGyver's Leather Jacket (MacGyver) Bonus 6 dice to any Escape Artist, Mechanic, or Armorer test. Automatically fail any Firearms test, if your intent is to hit a living target. If you come up with a cool plan to escape a room, defeat a villain, or save an innocent bystander, any common object or tool that you might need to execute the plan can be either found in the jacket's pockets, or somewhere within 3 meters. |

Also occasionally mistakes grit on it's sensors as black holes, and comes installed with a dry British wit. Toaster (Red Dwarf) For some reason this toaster is equipped with a voice and Pilot, a new kind of "smart toaster". Unfortunately, because it's sole purpose for existance is to make toast, it will query anyone within visual range if they would like some sort of toasted food item such as baguettes, waffles or bagels. If there's no one with it's LOS, it will attempt to log onto the nearest PAN and send the user toast-related literature (The Health Benefits of Toasted Bread, Increase the Size of Your Member with Toast!, Chicks Love Waffles, etc) The user must make a Composure test to avoid smashing the toaster with the fury of a thousand uneaten breakfasts. |

Secret Hyper Jets (Spaceballs, the movie)
Pop up jets, normally attached to an RV or other large vehicle, enabling it to suddenly accelerate to a max velocity of 260, faster than a T-Bird. Kryptonian crystal (Superman movies, comics, and Smallville tv series) These small (handheld) crystals, normally transparent or green, when immersed in water can automatically grow either a large (mall size) building with crystalline holographic computer systems built in, or if misused to build a random crystalline continent regardless of what was there before. Borg Nanotechnology (Star Trek TNG, DS9, Voyager) One injection of Borg nanites causes the subject to "grow" cybernetic organs and components sufficient to lose 3 essence points within 1 minute. Each subject is unique, but most grow at least one cyber eye with enhancements, an internal power supply, commlink, RAS override, and random other components. |

Omega 13 (Galaxy Quest)
When activated, it enables one to travel backwards in time exactly 6 seconds(2 combat turns?). Or it destroys the universe. GM's choice. Slightly Psychic Paper (Doctor Who) This wallet and the paper it contains have a built in Desire Reflection spell, force 8, which displays whatever credentials the person viewing it wishes to see. Gamma Radiation treatment (Incredible Hulk tv series) Once exposed to this treatment, the subject becomes extremely easily angered. When angered, treat as Bear shaman berserker rage(SR4 page 192) with no chance of resisting. When in rage, subjects' skin turns green and he gains +6 STR, +6 BOD, -6INT, -6LOG, until all enemies are dispatched and subject has a chance to calm down. Note that unless the subject has an INT and LOG greater than 6, the transformation is a terminal event. |

The Taxman’s on your heels, The telly’s on the rag, your wifey‘s sneaking out with the milkman, the boss looking to sack you, even the cat seems to hate you…and you think you have problems mate? Well then just sit yourself right down next to Marvin. He’ll make your misbegotten life look like a bleedin’ bowl of cherries….without the pits. Yes Marvin, possibly the single most depressed entity in the entire universe who’s demeanour can even make a Black Hole seem as bright, shiny and warm as the new morning sun. The Grail Beacon - Monty Python & the Holy Grail Turn it on and watch the knights come form afar. The Beacon comes complete with an angelic music sound effect certain to convince even the most stalwart of gallant and noble young men that your castle is indeed the resting place of this most precious and sacred holy relic. The beacon is only useful to a commune of eight score nubile blonde and brunette virgins who are bored with their daily routine of bathing, dressing, undressing, making exciting underwear…. Connecting Marvin to a Computer/AI/Technomancer will have the effect of making said accessed system commit suicide. Anyone/Anything stupid enough to HACK Marvin will be talked into suicide. In the case of hackers the commlink will fuse into a mass of slag - implanted commlinks will HURT. |

...yeah he would have been good to send to Deus. Of course then we'd all still be playing 3rd ed and SoLA would be out.... waitaminute. what a brilliant Idea. Mr Peabody, warm up The WABAC Machine.:grinbig:
The WABAC Machine Peabody's Improbable History Mr Peabody's famous (or infamous) time travelling machine. Just set the dials for your favourite point in history step right through the portal and *POOF* there you are. Of course you will find the the event you journeyed to will not be quite as the history books describe it so you will need to monkey around a bit to set things on the proper course. One of the nastier side effects of using the machine occurs after you return. While summarising your adventure, you are forced to come up with a terrible pun that relates to your temporal journey. |

I'm surprised no one has come up with this one yet.
Battlemech (Battletech, Mechwarrior, games and books) 3-13 meter anthroform weapons platforms with more armor than a tank and more weapons than a regiment of conventional troops. Yeah, just right for game balance. Not to mention the portable fusion generator onboard. Don't forget... Veritech fighter (Robotech games, cartoons, and toys) Everything I just said about Battlemechs, plus a mysterious infinite power source (protoculture) and the ability to transform into an aerospace fighter. Also... Transformers (Movies, comics, cartoons, a toy aisle near you) Everything I just said about Battlemechs, plus Pilot ratings of 8+, unknown alien energy source which can reboot after a 10,000 year shutdown period, sentience with an agenda, and the ability to transform into practically any metallic form of appropriate mass. |

Going out on a limb here...
Cursed Dance Floor (Hotel California, song) For every minute one dances on this dance floor, one loses a memory permanently. The memory floats away in a bubble, visible only to dancers who are currently affected by the floor. If one catches the bubble, one retrieves the memory. Someone can catch memories that belonged originally to someone else. A memory bubble lasts for no longer than 24 hours if not captured before then. If one keeps dancing long enough, he eventually becomes a blank slate, still able to walk and talk but having no memories of their life. "Some dance to remember, some dance to forget" Hand Phaser (Star Trek) A small handheld laser/particle beam weapon with variable settings. It can be set to mildly stun someone, strong stun, kill, heat rock, disintegrate, and explode like a grenade. It is rechargeable and is extremely lightweight. |

Neuralyzer (MIB)
Holding this device causes intense curiosity on all subjects and makes them look intently upon it. When activated, it causes each observer's memories to be selectively wiped allowing the user to tell them what their new memories / circumstances are. Extent of memory wiping is controlled by several dials on the user's side of the Neuralyzer. Requirements: Must be wearing a black suit & black shades and clearly have stated association with (Whatever) Division 6. MIB Black Tailored Suit A black suit, jacket, & tie that always fits the user perfectly and miraculously repairs itself each time the scene changes. The suit is impervious to stains and other forms of dirt / discoloration. It also is the last suit you'll ever wear. Requirements: user must not exist. Hotsheets (MIB) Upon reading a hotsheet, always know where unauthorized alien activity is occurring but not why. Requirements: Must be a member of MIB Wurms' Coffee Pot (MIB) Always have at least one cup of joe left in the pot whenever you go for a refill. |

Maula Pistol is pretty simple: darts are maybe 3P, plus poison. (Low velocity, so less base damage than a light pistol bullet.) Semi-Automatic, clip on the order of 12-20 darts. Unless your target has a velocity-damping shield, you're better off with a firearm.
Weirding Way (martial arts style) Low-detail implementation: it's just the Unarmed Combat skill, and some Bene Gesserit are trained to high levels (5 or 6); same cost as for anyone else. Does it include any distinctive maneuvers that other arts don't have? Velocity-Damping Shield Energy shield, usually projected from a gadget worn on a belt. Hardened Armor 20 against any attack with significant kinetic energy, eg bullets or shrapnel. (For balance, I'm reality-editing that attacks over 20 will overload the shield's capacity.) Also works against melee attacks unless the attacker slows the strike just before connecting, which involves taking -3 DP. Yup, this radically changes tactics, and being the only one with it means a whole lotta win until someone has countermeasures... eg manabolts and Neurostun. |

The Ghost Sensei's Set, Sonny.
The Ghost Sensei is bound to a tall cliff overlooking a windy, rain-swept shoreline, late at night. The exact geography is both unimportant and immaterial; the conditions simply must be right. High background counts make it more likely he will appear. If confronted by a challenger (or group thereof), he will refuse to allow them to pass, and will engage them in combat. (It requires a Willpower (threshold 4) roll to retreat) If defeated, he will fade away, leaving behind a piece of his gear (Good!) However, once encountered once, those who defeated him will have no choice but to return to challenge him five more times. (Willpower, Threshold 4, to resist). (Bad!) The order of equipment gained from the Ghost Sensei is random, but the sword (Moon-Struck Horrors) always comes last. The whole set together gains additional properties. Common Benefits (To each part; without full set): Each piece generates a point of Background Count that is cumulative with natural background count, but does not interfere with the wearer's abilities. Each piece adds a box to all non-technological condition tracks the wearer possesses. Each piece (re)generates a point of Essence in the user, if their Essence is less than 6. Gain the Adept property (Any piece will grant this.) Each piece adds a point of Magic to the wearer, if the wearer's Magic score would otherwise have been less than the number of pieces gathered. Common Drawbacks: Gain the Astral Beacon flaw, with an additional bonus on any attempts to locate you astrally equal to the number of pieces you possess. Gain the Simsense Vertigo Flaw. The bare minimum of cyberware and/or bioware nessessary to restore the lost essence is disabled, and forcibly ejected (painfully!) from the body. (Not damagingly.) Lose the Magician, Magician's Way Adept, or Technomancer edges, if present. Lose all spells, Powers, or Complex Forms known. Wearing a single piece of the Ghost Sensei's armor means you will not willingly relinquish it (Willpower threshold 6 to relinquish any of the items) Crown of Frozen Shadows The Ghost Sensei's traditional Samurai helmet glows blue from the inside of the demon-like horns attached to the brow. The Crown of Frozen Shadows adds +1/+1 to the character's armor rating, in a manner not inconsistant with other helmets. Benefit: +4 bonus dice to Intimidate Opponents must make a Willpower test (Threshold 4) to retreat from or refuse to battle with you. Drawback: Opponents must make a Willpower test (Threshold 4) to retreat from or refuse to battle with you. You must make a Willpower test (Threshold 6) to retreat from battle or refuse to engage in battle with your enemies/those who challenge you. Armor of the Teacher The Ghost Sensei's massive Samurai armor is heavily reinforced, with broad shoulder-pads and glowing runes on every flat or near-flat surface. The Armor of the Teacher an armor rating of 7/7 Benefit: The character's armor is considered Hardened. Drawback: The character cannot benefit from any physical armour other than the Ghost Sensei's gear once this piece is acquired, even if they choose to wear other outfits. (Armor modifications still apply, so you may if nessessary wear hazmat gear in a hazmat area.) Grand Master's Gloves The Grand Master's gauntlets are a set of ornate, powerful gauntlets that encase the hand and fingers. Benefit: Counts as a Weapon Focus (Force 3) for attacks with the gloves, which change the damage code of your unarmed attacks to Physical. (Wearing the Grand Master's Gloves counts as binding the Focus, no further costs are nessessary. No-one who has not slain you in combat may Bind the Grand Master's Gloves.) Allows the wearer to use the Death Touch spell at-will, substituting the number of pieces of the Ghost Sensei's armor obtained for the Spellcasting skill, or using the wearer's Spellcasting skill, whichever is higher. Drawback: Too bulky to use most firearms - weapons must be customized to be used while worn. Sheathed in blue flames when being used for unarmed attacks or to cast Death Touch, making it quite obvious the gloves are supernatural. Legplates of Icy Doom The Ghost Sensei's legplates consist of armored leggings with broad, flat, glowing-runic sides, and an armored skirt. Confers +1/+0 armor bonus when stacked with the Armor of the Teacher. (Or worn alone) Benefit: The character gains Immunity to Normal Weapons as per the Critter Power. Drawback: The character becomes a Dual-Natured being. Footguard of the Shore These broad, square-angled greaves are powerful footwear indeed, being drawn with runes up the long, angular exteroir armor all the way to the knees. Confers +0/+1 armor bonus when stacked with the Armor of the Teacher. (Or worn alone) Benefits: Grants the wearer +1 Initiative pass, and +2 Reaction, cumulative with all other sources of Initative passes and Reaction, including those which specifically say they are not cumulative with anything else. (Artifact trumps regular rules. ^_^ )) Drawback: Well, what do you know, life ain't all bad! Aside from being obviously magical, there ain't none! Moon-Struck Horrors This massive weapon has more in common with the masive, slab-sided, diagonal-tipped edge from that infamous video game than it does with a normal katana. Scrolling, obviously-magical runes run up and down the sides of the blade. The symbols on the blade's side shift and change each time Moon-Struck Horrors takes a life - each pattern is unique. Moon-Struck Horrors uses the Edged Weapons skill, and is it's own Specialization. It has Reac 2, deals (Str +2)P, and has AP -2. Benefit: Moon-Struck Horrors is a Force 6 Weapon Focus (which applies only to attacks with Moon-Struck Horrors), which binds to the person wearing the full set of the Ghost Sensei's armor with no further cost, and may not be bound to another unless they have slain that person, personally, in combat. Drawbacks: Well, see "Mastery Drawbacks" below... Mastery Benefits The act of completing the set of the Ghost Sensei's Set counts as an Initiation Ordeal; the person with the full set Initiates automatically when they pick up the sword. The person who picks up the sword effectively becomes a freed, unique Great Form Spirit. Their Magic value becomes their Force value. They gain no Spirit Powers automatically (Exception below), but may freely learn as if they were both a Magician and an Adept at the same time. They may project themselves, their Set, and any belongings they were carrying wholely into the Astral, and manifest again at any time. The Master of the Ghost Sensei's Armor may use the Storm power (P. 102, Street Magic) with a range of Force*1 meters, instead of Force *100. This may be invoked once per day and once per day only. The character keeps it's own natural scores, using them when not clad in the full Set; when clad in the full set, they use Force instead, as appropriate, for better or worse. The exception is Magic, which has become inherant to the character, and not the armor. Mastery Drawbacks: The character may be freely treated as a spirit; those who know the character's original, full name, spoken to them by the character, possess his or her True Name, and may theoretically become a danger. (Simply looking up the character's name in a database is not sufficient, though it may suffice to begin research.) Life almost certainly has changed drastically for the character, perhaps no longer having the meaning it once did; perhaps the change is so radical they simply must depart, and seek their future elsewhere. If the character is ever destroyed in combat, they, and the armor, fade out; the character takes the position once held by the Ghost Sensei they themselves defeated, forever staring out at the sea, waiting for a challenger to appear and end their tormented existance once and for all. |

Hannibal's Cigar [The A Team]
The smoker of this cigar automatically makes any leadership tests that he is called to perform. Aditionally he is granted the right to use the phrase "I love it when a plan comes together." Sunglasses [Various] When worn these shades provide +2 coolness to the user. Vodka Martini, Shaken not Stirred [Bond Films] Upon imbibing this arcane elixir the character recieves a +372 to their next Con [Seduction] test. "He's dead Jim." [Star Trek] If this phrase is uttered in every occasion one finds a cadaver then that person retains the medical acumen to cure anything. At all. Except death. If the person encounters a cadaver and does not say the phrase then all abilities due to this phrase are immediately stripped. |
