I don't really have a problem with doing the whole chapter.

Let's make a go for the whole chapter; if it doesn't work we'll just cover the first half and do the other half the week after.

Besides, different people will likely focus on different areas anyway. Should we suggest a format for initial reports, essay style, or just post in stream of thought on whatever section of the chapter each poster is interested in, then open it to replies?

It might help if we limit it at first to each persons section highlight, then go ahead with replies. That way no one's 'report' gets lost in the shuffle.

That would of course require a roll call for everyone that is in fact going to be doing a report/post.

Thoughts?

I was just going to start with the intro fiction and figured we'd progress at our own pace.

Okay, since we're coming to the end of discussions on Runner Havens, do we want to try for Emergence starting next Saturday, or should we hold it off for a week after?

I think we could give Runner Havens a bit more discussion time.

I concur. I mean, how many books do we have to discuss? 4 or 5 right now? And how long until #6 appears? I'd rather not run out of material too quickly.

Plus, I don't have emergence yet.

I would not mind holding off a bit since you guys seem to blaze through the books. I came to the Runner Haven discussion late as it were after it seems it had been derailed a bit.

I'd definitely be up for contributing to a discussion on Emergence as and when it appears; I've just started running my players through it.

I take it then that the Runner Havens book review is finished. Were we still looking at Emergence next?

The more the merrier, and yeah. Emergence is next. Why don't we plan on discussing the first chapter next Saturday (the 10th)?

That works (the 10th that is). And I agree, going by chapter will make it much easier than an over all at once.

I just have one single question on emergence. What's the setting (what city does it take place in?)

All over the world, but HK has a big event in it and Seattle gets some love.

Hong Kong. Seattle. Outer Space.

Seriously, it's a world events book, there's a lot of stuff happening in it. It doesn't confine itself to a single region or city. It's more like System Failure than it is like Runner Havens.
