It has been a few years since it was first announced, but it isn't in existence as of yet.

IIRC Catalyst hopes to get it online sometime next year.

Thing is that with Catalyst now doing the Publishing, the people who write the game now have more direct control. That's why we stepped away from FanPro - sort of cutting out the middle man.
The people who are Catalyst are the people with InMediaRes, who launched www.battlecorps.com so they have real experience at it and have already launched one similar site very successfully. I'd say things are hopeful, so look for something good to happen. |

yep I'm keeping positive and looking forward to the good things Catalyst will do with my favorite game. I've played alot of games, but SR has always been my favorite. I'm glad that people who care about it have control over it.

I'm excited to see Holostreets get up and running. What little I know about the concept makes me think it'll be worth the wait.

I don't really know if this is the right place to ask, but do you guys think the recent change in ownership of Topps, the people who own Wizkids, will have any impact on CatLab and Shadowrun?

General concept: Holostreets will be an outlet for "official" Shadowrun material for use in your games. For example, SoLA will be published through it. It may not be the most accurate comparison, but think "D&D Insider" for Shadowrun. (And by "not the most accurate comparison", I mean that I know next to nothing about implementation plans or anything of that nature, so don't ask me specifics, I just don't know. What I mean is "you'll be able to get Shadowrun content from it, and that content will be "official".) |

If it's anything like Battlecorps it will involve online fiction, some scenarios, and some source material - plus an online community and store.

Not to be sceptical, but I remember when FASA had AWOL Productions start a Shadowrun magazine (Ka*Ge - Shadowrun Network), because they already had real experience with a very successfull magazine for BattleTech (MECH - Mechforce North-America). In the end both the SR and the BT community lost out. I know, I'm just to old and grumpy ;) Lars |

Damn, someone else out there remembers KA*GE?
I'd like it if Holostreets had fiction. Or SoLA, for that matter. |

I think it'll be different writers for Shadowrun - just the same Admin and infrastructure.
Not 100% on that, but that's the idea I got from them. |

Will SoLA be "published" as originaly written, or will the text be updated for SR4 rules and timeline?

Last I heard it was as originally written, but you have to remember that it's not rules.

I know of Ka*Ge didn't get any of them missed my chance but after that came Shadowland which I have all of.
Subscription fees went bad but here's hoping Holostreets is free as right now I have no extra money. Althought with the way things seem to be going for Holostreets right now I might actually get a job and have money by the time is starts up. |

I still have all of my Ka*Ge issues, but you'll have to list your Shadowland issues so I can compare. I think I have a couple from when they were available at my Barnes & Noble.....way, way back.
