in each of my games, i find and paint a mini for my players. i've been trying for the last few weeks to find a good mini for one of my player's character's.

he's a bald ork, around 6'7, and fairly brawny.

i don't need a true SR mini, as I have several of those (including the old ork street sam) and they don't really fit.

he just needs to look modern, be big but not enormous, and have a face that tusks could be added to.

any ideas out there in trid land?

Take a look at the Ork in the IWM SR Assassins pack.
IWM Assassins

He's not bald, but if you can add tusks, you can shave off his hair. He's in your size range, and he's pretty clearly an Ork. If that's not to your liking, could you share a little more descriptive info?

hmmm, it may work. i'll have to get with the player in question.

if all else fails, i can try sculpting from the ground up using reaper's dollies as a skeleton.

Games Workshop Online Shop

They might be more expensive than most other places, but they have a wide range of models to pick from.

i'll have to shy away from the gw stuff. i play 40k, but can't think of any models in either the classic or 40k range that would work.

i'm thinking something like the ork in this picture. big, modern, and sort of futuristic.

i've looked through the infinity range, which hits much closer to the mark (especially the ariadna faction), but still is not quite right.

sigh...looks like it's gonna be a reaper armature with a lot of greenstuff sculpting on it.
