Needs some TLC but it's in pretty good shape. Currnelty in VA but will soon makes it's way to Concord CA.

I put some warhammer mini's on it to show scale.
The table comes with an LCD monitor built into the side of one of the buildings, a rotating Mariah Mercurial statue, most of the buildings light up, and the top floor of almost all the buildings comes off to show a detailed floor.

From my understanding this table was used to show off shadowrun and the mini's line from Ral Partha years ago. It came with it's own wooden box for easy carry, and weighs in at around 800lbs fully loaded in it's crate.

I picked it up from one of the old FASA team members while I was in Chicago.

Well, you own a piece of history my friend. I remember the old Sprawl Sites book had a picture of minis on a terrain board, although I'm not sure if this is the one. (That picture was in B&W and grainy, your's show a great deal more detail.)

I have to say though, not a great job on the terrain. If I were going to build something similar (and lord knows, I've been stockpiling styrofoam for some reason), I'd take a look at the work these people are doing:

Terragenesis Articles
Necromundicon
Particularly: Gorka Morka Board, Mechwarrior Board, and the Mage Knight Board.
CoolMiniOrNot Terrain Category
Like This One, or This Mordheim Table, which is actually by the guy from the above site (with more pictures up there somewhere).

Still, owning something from the original FASA team is awesome. Congratulations.

I remember this. Almost bought it once upon a time, but I couldn't find freight for less than $500, and I'm pretty sure my car didn't have room anyway. Glad to see it didn't meet its end rotting next to the woodpile.

luckily my uncle was in the freight business at the time. got it from IL to VA for about $300. Being in the millitary helps for getting it to and from places I move now. I'm really glad to own it to tell you the truth. I hope to one day be able to put it on display. Maybe i'll retire and run a small cyber/cafe gaming store. As it is now it needs a lot of care. the original adhesive used for most of the pieces that weren't carved out of wood or screwed into place was hot glue. so you can imagine how it has weathered the years. I'm electronics tech for the coast guard, so hopefully I'll be able to get all the electrical components back up to snuff and put in a few new ones to boot.

That's really awesome. It's cool to see that you're planning on restoring it. When you get your cafe open, you'll have to let us know so we can come have a game on it. ;)
