You need a 'guy'. And 'this guy' should know 'people'. You should be able to get ahold of 'this guy' who will talk to some 'people' to who can get you 'what you need'. You likely know 'this guy' from some time spent in prison, and even though 'this guy' seems to have been in prison forever 'this guy' still knows alot of 'people' who can get you 'what you need'. Ok, enough about that. I suggest a fence, a fixer, an info guy, and someone who can sell you various things. Like I personally will have some kind of crooked military arms master (sorta, but enough info for now). He is going to be my big point contact because I have highly illegal weapons (rockets are a pain to get). Then I'll have a black market fence, a small time fixer who I know well or a big time one that I barely know, then maybe someone who can make me a fake SIN, and then maybe a guy or two who knows 'stuff' (beat cop, joy girl, barkeep, whatever) |

I am to the stage of working up fake identities for my character.
Do you require driver's license, vehicle licensing, etc to be purchased separately or are those part of the SIN? |

Okay, concept worked up and ready for submission (along with complete character on excel 2007).
Maile "Akki" Jorgensen By day, not so mild mannered Lead for "Akki and the Demon Qwellers", a punk band with roots in Eastern classical (Akki being japanese for Demon). By night she's a firearm specialist with some talent for sneaking. She's retired spec. ops from Desert Wars (2 tours), carries a bad scar on her neck where she took some shrapnel. She freelances as personal security, but is ill-suited for negotiations and prefers to leave that to people who don't let their guns talk for them. She still maintains her legal identity, but finds that music gigs and playing nursemaid to bored children of execs who'd rather play grab-ass than keep a low profile just doesn't pay for the time she logs at the range let alone her other essentials and as such has turned to the Shadows to make ends meet, find inspiration for her music and most of all remind the "man" that girls can stick it to them as well as the boys. Redjack - I require licenses for any items that are restricted (see pg 303 in the main book for more info) and you would need to do so for each fake SIN the items are attached to. I am going to assume any fake SINs will have everything else (driver's license etc) covered in them.
I've had a player ask for a fake SIn that was a diplomat as a "get out of free jail" once card to be used in dire need. While I like the idea I would rather that be played out in game since the level of contacts and skills to pull that off would be more than average when compared to a off the shelf fake SIN. I toss that out as a guideline for fake SINs. |

@Buddha72:
Ok, I sent a character to you in email with a number of SINs and licenses. Please let me know if I am on the right track. I got him a generic CCW (Concealed Carry Weapons) though he has no weapons that he carries. This way he can mask as a mundane and grab a gun if needed to look the part. |

Huzzah! My dumpshock account is active =D
Which means I'm throwing my hat into the ring with Munkir. He is a human mundungu who used to be a low level enforcer/bodyguard for a Korean crime syndicate which got wiped out by the Yak's. While laying on the ground bleeding out he was saved by a Dark Goddess in return for a promise to learn from her. Since then he has had a personal vendetta against the yak's, fueled by his hatred for them and his mentors love of confrontation. The character is a possession shaman, but due to his original skillset he's a kin to a street sam, using magic and spirits instead of cyberware. I've been tweaking him for a while and I'll post what I have later tonight, still need to choose 25 karma worth of stuff and go over his equipment list with the extra 100k and make sure everythings sorted out.] Edit: What I have so far on the latest version [ Spoiler ] Edit 2: Spent last 25 karma on 3 new spells, increase the starting force of the ally spirit, and gave a specialization in Yakuza to the organized crime knowledge. |

The 14th has arrived.
I don't envy Buddha with all these submissions to slim down to a team of 5.... I'm betting there are 2-3x that many submissions... @Buddha72 - Can you itemize the submissions you received so we can all insure are characters made it to you for evaluation? |

New draft. I'm going to post my fluff tommorrow my time, which should still be the 14th US time, when I can think about it a bit more. Basically I cut my hacking ability a bit to let me pump the areas of exposed weakness. So I'm down to cracking 1 for a total dicepool of 7, but I still have a rating 6 agent so I'm not sure what I'm scared off.

I have received some PMs/emails about the deadline and to clarify the deadline is the end of today for submissions so tonight is still fine. I will be posting a list of received characters later this afternoon so people can confirm I got the submission. I will post the complete list Tuesday morning and then make my selection on Wednesday or Thursday, leaving the weekend for people to clean up sheets or address any concerns/questions I may have. The hope is to post the 1st IC post on next Monday to get the game started. Thanks!

Sorry all life has gotten a little crazy today - long story short we're trying to adopt children through the county and some stuff came up, nothing bad but things that required my full attention. I will get the list up tomorrow late morning and my apologies for the delay.
Ezeckial - I talked with some SR4 people (writers/freelancers) and the general consensus is that your stuff would burn/fry/freeze etc. What you could do is channel a spirit that wouldn't overcome insulation/fire resistance/non-conductivity built into armor you're wearing so your gear isn't trashed. |

Well it looks like the deadline is almost here and well I havn't finished my character yet.
At this point I'm going to pull my name from the hat, but would love to get in if additional players are needed down the road. (maybe that will be at a time when I have more time to work on stuff.) Good luck & good gaming all. JD |

I'd be more worried about my cyber-eyes ceasing to exist, leaving me blind. I think I'll just forgo that spirit power and go with another one. Would have been cool if it worked, but I'm not too worried about it either way. I'll just pick up something equally cool. As for the delay, RL > all, especially when it comes to something like adopting kids. Good luck on getting it all sorted out, I know it's not a simple thing. I'll get you a gear list asap, I got distracted myself tonight and only got it partially done. |

I'm very close to being done, I just kept changing things up a bit, although I think I'm about where I want to be. Apologies about the delay; things are really coming into focus now though and should be submitted by morning.

I was on the fence, but in the end I decided to submit a character as well :)
When I'm less tired I'll post a full write-up here (I sent my submission by email already). In brief, Spider is an Elven (ex-)dancer who excels at gymnastics, sneaking, and unarmed combat. An insane agility means he's pretty good with a pistol, too. DS |

I submitted a character to your gmail account, named "Vice"
From what this thread exploded into afterwards, though, it looks like other people have developed their characters a bit more than I have. :-D No hard feelings, but if you wanna dig it up, it should be there. |
