...Just sent a PM but when I looked at my Sent Messsages folder it didn't appear. I have no idea if it made it to the recipient or not.

It appears the new forum has an option in instead of opt out for saving sent PMs. There is a check box above the send button to save a copy...

GRRRRRRr..... Guess I'm gonna have to take a look at that...

Ok, good it wasn't just me. I had a total blonde moment thinking I *didn't* send a PM. Meh.

Yeah, I'm glad this topic was created in the news section; I was pretty confused there for a second until I saw the title on the top of the screen informing me that I wasn't suffering from some crazy form of memory loss that afflicts 25 year olds.

Is there any reason we can't leave it exactly the way it is?

Best of all would be to make it configurable. I mean, it's pretty obnoxious to lose information by not checking the box when you want to save it, but on the other hand I also find it annoying to get my PM storage chewed up by stuff from when I forgot to uncheck it.

In balance, though, I'd have to say that the previous behaviour is better—while it annoys me a great deal, I can fix it by burning time clearing out my sent items. With the current behaviour, the person would have to get the recipient to send their message back to them to regain it.

Or just make the box checked by default.

As of yesterday, it is checked by default so that the functionality is as it was. I am looking for a mod that is supposed to allow users to select the default activity. But, so far it is like seeking a Vindicator in one of my games... Rumored to be out there, just not ever actually seen by the PCs...
