Laughing-Snow used his Knack to metamorph into a hawk and is doing some aerial recon around the site (see rolls below) in an erratic but counter-clockwise pattern high in the sky. When he's done, he'll look for a good spot to land, revert back to human form, and approach on foot (with his ruthenium polymers activated) for a closer look.

Aerial Visual Perception Test (+1 TN): 14, 5, 5, 4, 1, 1, 1
Aerial Astral Perception Test (+1 TN): 9, 7, 5, 4, 3, 3, 2

Note that he should have the equivalence of optical vision magnification as a hawk. The above target modifiers include the +2 modifier for sustaining and the -1 modifier for the Perceptive edge. If anyone with astral perception is looking to the heavens, his Masking should be covering both the knack's effect and his current dual-natured status.

If my Civil Engineering skill would come in useful as a Complimentary Skill for either test (for noticing any tell-tale signs of hidden construction or whatnot), just let me know. I also have 12 dice available for all Stealth tests. While in hawk form, he doesn't receive any radio or battletac input.

Sorry, I forgot to roll Stealth when for hiding while watching the camp.

Stealth (+1 for Enhanced Articulation) = 04 04 11 03 04
Add 12 to the test from the Ruthenium Polymers, so the current target to noice me is 23.

I hate you so incredably much.

But high level games means the GM gets to play with high-level toys, too...

HMHVV Hunter, in your post about not having an order issued to you, if you reread my post, you'll see that I say, "The rest of you are with me".

That's what cost me the wound, actually it damn near knocked me out. I figured I got +2 on mountain spirits so I should go for broke, soka?

Besides, that's the best I can do, I am not initiated or anything, all I have are spirits.

If you don't have Invoking, how are you maintaining all those spirits? I thought standard shamans could only keep one nature spirit on tap with available services at a time even if a region counts as more than one domain. (SR3 p. 184, last paragraph under "Domains.")

Not trying to burst your bubble or anything, just genuinely curious if you had a way around that. :)

QUOTE (Doctor Funkenstein)
(SR3 p. 184, last paragraph under "Domains.")

Actually, its second to last.

QUOTE
A shaman can one be in one domain at a time, even if multiple possible domains exist in an area [like a forested mountain]

What I can't find is something that says how many spirits you can have conjured at one time. There has to be a rule somewhere that says you can't summon 100 force 4 spirits to your aid. All I could find was a rule that you can't summon a spirit with a force greater than twice your magic attribute.

Uh, I thought you could have as many spirits equal to your charisma score... wait one while I look it up. It comes down to it, I will keep the Mountain spirit. I may have screwed up. Let me look.

You can have a number of spirits equal to Charisma, the force of a spirit cannot be greater than your Magic x 2.

The problem is that you summoned a Prairie Spirit and a Mountain Spirit. You can't be in two domains at once. Even if the land counts as both, you have to pick one.

To be more correct, he could summon the Prairie Spirit and use a service (such as telling it perform recon or whatnot) and it will continue to provide that service even after he abandons any remaining services when he summons the Mountain Spirit. It just can't provide that same service "in the same domain," and the domain switches as soon as he summons the Mountain Spirit.

Looks good, but change FB to Shiawise- they hold the current contract on military vehicles(SoNA)- IIRC

Should I split the Karma award evenly or does one of you deserve more. Serious responses, only please.

Ok then, I will fdrop the praire spirit then, I was thinking I could tell the spirit to await my call in the astral plane, and then switch domains and summon some more.

Actually can I just change the Praire spirit to a mountain spirit of the same force?

So that would be 2 mountins, a watcher and a rock gnome.

Ok. I'm going to go with 1 karma each.

Note I may be changing that. I'm not sure how I'm going to hand out reward karma.

I'm making a perception test to see if there's anything on the astral plane to note (Sorcerer's have astral perception, remember):

5 dice for this (5 is my character's intelligence):

2, 3, 5, 5, 7
