After rereading Transmetropolitan it struck me. I really don't have enough made up product placement in my games.
Anyone have any favorite common food, drink, or toiletry products? *rustles the bag before offering you one* Baby seal eyes? |

OMG, AmberGel is the most tasteiest gloop ever to come in a jar, like marmalade made by angels.

One of my favorite food chains was: You Should Not Eat So Much!, but I was thinking about expanding Big Rhino into a brand name, like No Name Stakes and giving them a "farm" called the Big Rhino Ranch. Because nothing says Shadowrun like ork cowboys and awakened bison.

Vegemite is freaking awful.
But I still smear it on toast whenever I can get my grubby paws on it. So... like the full "Ranch" experience? You stay the night, shoot an awakened concealed buffalo and have steaks of a size that would upset Fred Flintstone? |

I know what you're thinking, you can do all that at Fun City. But I'm talking about a week in the badlands, with wild injuns, wild spirits, and wild women. Name a paracritter, we hunt it, kill cook it, all on our five tonne true-flame grill slathered in Big Rhino's secret special barbecue sauce. Also, Wunderbar: the candybar that glows in the dark. |

*Flips through the AR brochure. Makes interested noises.*
Well Mr Ten you've certainly engaged my interest, why don't you put me down for the... week long package. That comes with a free night of wild women right? Will I be able to hunt my own paracritter? I see you have Barett rentals, are the game stands air conditioned? Little child to mother: "Mommy? My poop has lights!" Does Aztecola taste like Incacola? If so... delicious! Or is it more like Ebola Cola, the drink that drinks you! |

Slurm, Red Apple Cigarettes and other brands I steal from movies. (Except Duff, I got sick and tired of simpsons references back during my AD&D days)
I have all so twisted common brands that we have today. Coke and Pepsi are not more like signs of endorsement or a quality guarantee. I have also made Apple products to be synonymous with being like a sheep. But that is because I hate iPods and iItems. |

I'm actually thinking of stealing something from HOL and adding it to my next SR game. A new rival for Stuffer Shacks.
Church N Munch. Part Religion, part fast food. They'd serve stuff like "Geez Whiz" on communion wafers "MMMboy That's Good Communion!" |

...I was going to suggest Scop
[edit] I actually like to put Shadowrun themed commercials into game sessions. Helps bring things a little more to life. The last session the characters were in the SK mall one of them standing across from a Soywurst on a Stick. And yes, the the employees there (usually cute girls just like in RL) still wore the goofy hats & had to hand mix the lemonade. One of the characters even bought a chess set at Spencer's (they'll always be around, heck, we had them when I was still in H.S.) which featured Lofwyr as the black king and Hestaby as the white queen. We've got a low end Sythahol & Soy imitation beer that's high on intoxicating effects and low on taste called SoySudz that makes rather regular appearances. Ork Rinds are a classic, as are ChocoTarts (at least they are now that we've run Brainscan). Aztechnology Pyramid Chips (inlots of flavors) are our modern replacement for Doritos (no one knows for sure how much Soylent Green they contain).

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) In my game there's a small fast food chain called Just Noodles!. Not surprisingly, everything on their menu is some kind of noodle bowl (you can pay extra for rice). They're cheap and serve over 50 different flavors of sauce. Their most popular dishes include Soy Lo Mein, Spaghetti Marinara, and their signature dish, the Spicy Thai Chili Bonanza. |

My favorite SR product.
Powerthirst And if you liked that, here's a second one (linkage is arguably NSFW, sort of a PG-13ish level) Another popular product at my SR gaming table is (and I'm pretty sure this is stolen from someone on this board, if so jump in and claim credit) "Taco Temple: Sacrifice your taste-buds on the altar of flavor!" |

...ChocoTarts!!! Oy! i'm such a schlemiel for not remembering those.
For cheap guzzling beer, I have good ol' Spud Lite. Back in RL New Orleans there used to be these cheap Chinese food stands called Takee Outee that served stuff like kung pao/sweet & sour chicken & shrimp on skewers with rice. They were what their name said as there was just a walk up window and no seating. Very popular with those on late night benders in the Vieux Carré. These also show up in my campaigns. |

That didn't even have to do with the chocotarts.
I'd love to see someone end a fight like Kane did at a cacao plant in Cyberpirates, by blowing up a giant tank of chocolate and reproducing the notorious Boston Molasses Disaster. |
