Greeting Dumpshockers, I was thinking about an old Shadowrun Novel/Anthology called Into the Shadows by Jordan K. Weisman And wondered if 4th Edition Shadowrun has something simular?

It was a great book of stories and characters. Along with a few of my favourites.

Tikki - a female Were Tiger Assassin

Neko - a male Adept Technoninja

??? - a male Raccoon Shaman

Has Fourth Edition made any attempt at creating stories and characters that make you Shadowrun games come alive?

Thanks

Questionman... you may want to edit your post as most of us won't take kindly to Dumshockers. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cyber.gif)

As for any novels, I don't think that any books are being allowed to be made... something about the license or some such.

Also I thought that the Were Tiger Assassin was Striper (I thought that was her name...)?

That anthology made me start playing Shadowrun, back in 1991.

Tikki is her real name, Striper her street name.

When I read that book I was thinking to myself: "That lady needs to be wasted! She was such a bitch, and the runners they put her up against... founding members of the 'League of Wannabe Runners'."

Be more completely accurate to say edited by Weisman.

I like the Sperethiel in it. Could have lived without the urak-hai.

Haven't read that one. But I have heard horrible criticism of the were tiger girl.

Cheers

I really liked "Whitechapel Rose", about a decker with a Reality Filter who played Jack the Ripper in the matrix.

the raccoon shaman is probably bandit, if i'm not mistaken.

and iirc, the SR4 website has some shadowrun fiction... just short stories and such, i think.
