According to Street Magic, an Attack of Will does (Charisma)P Damage. Is this correct, or should it be Charisma/2 like for Astral Combat?

No, (Charisma)P is correct. Also look into the Kiai martial art from Arsenal to get up to +3 to this DV.

It was the Kiai that made me start looking at it. So a Mystic Adept with Banishing Skill could just massacre spirits using this. Banishing + Willpower to attack and then Charisma + 3 for damage, only resisted by body.
Nothing else uses a straight attribute for damage. |

Seriously cool. |

...so even a mundane a Face character with say, a Willpower of 4, a Charisma of 5, and Kiai MA could potentially be a threat against spirits (base of 8DV)?

Note that Spirits still get to defend with their Reaction + Unarmed Combat, so they are rolling double force +2 (or more) against your Willpower + Banishing. Even if you have help and reach, getting into hand-to-hand with a spirit is dangerous. A strike made brave and true may indeed banish a demon outright, but they are made of quicksilver and nightmare and actually laying your hands upon one is difficult at best.

Go the general purpose-way. Get up your close-combat DV until you can beat the spirits immunity. Once you get to that point, the DR pool is not large enough to soak the damage.
The elven face with CHA+3 damage is nothing to sneeze at, but the ork streetsam will not be far behind on DV. Mundane spirit hunters could be really scary close combat fighters. Take Ars Cybernetica, the bonus to bladed combat DV, and the Maneuver Finishing Move. Use a combat axe. Assuming a strength of "only" 5[7], you get to a base DV of 9/-1, and are allowed to borrow an IP for an immediate follow up attack. Plus it is way easier to augment Agility and Bladed skill than Willpower and Banishing. |

It's a Willpower Test, so it applies. So with 15 pts of Martial Art Kiai (Tai Chi Ch’uan) select three times gets +3 DV on Attacks of Will, takes the maneuver of Focus Will gets +2 bonus to the test of Attacks of Will, then takes Pentjak-Silat (Bersilat, Gatka) then choose the +1 DV for Astral Combat attacks (Awakened only); so the total DV is +4, with +2 dice on the test. If his/her Charisma is a 8 then the DV is 12P. Not bad. One note this attack bypassed the Immunity to Normal Weapons that spirits have. WMS |

So, the question I have is: does the spirit still get Immunity to Normal Weapons against Attacks of Will?

No, he doesn't. But weapons don't count anyway, when you use an Attack of Will. That's all written in Street Magic.
