The place where we go to game has the BBB, Arsenal, and Augmentation all on hard back.
I bring - Dice - Papers describing the run and anything that is important for the runners to know - Character sheets - Visual aids if needed - A knife, a garlic press, maybe a pot or wok, vegetables, garlic, sometimes meat, oil, butter, spices... um whatever else I decide I need when I'm cooking for a group of 5. - The BBB that I use like a GM screen I don't actually have a laptop, but 3 out of 5 people in my group do = ( |

..oh, yeah, forgot to mention the WhoopAss energy drink. Man the group hates it when I GM & bring several cans. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/grinbig.gif)
[Edit] ...woops, wrong thread. Kinda forgot about this one. Thought I was on the What Tools/Toys... thread. ...seem to have experienced a momentary bout of Short One-itis. |

Show, don't tell (IMG:style_emoticons/default/grinbig.gif)
My GM case for remote locations Sometimes a laptop with PDFs if I'm going to the bookstore to run. If my players are bad, I'll take the case I used for the photo of the Missions cover (2 Desert Eagle airsofts, semi-auto, unlike my regular GMs case.) If I'm here at home running I have all sorts of minis and scenery I use to liven things up. |

QUOTE (Caine Hazen) Show, don't tell (IMG:style_emoticons/default/grinbig.gif) ...guess I could have done so in Carrara. I do have the briefcase freebie & a number of assorted props that may work. For others I could always model them in Hex. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/grinbig.gif) |

We can usually rely on several of us having books with us and dang, library's. The house we usually use, the owners built a 'sun room' with the idea of gaming there so they have a bookcase with their SR and AD&D books right there.
I usually bring the books I'll need in particular with my notes in the margine. note paper. mulitple pencils one of those eraser pens sack of dice cup to hold the dice I'm using screens note book with the adventure written down folder with particulars of the characters on it. |

no, (IMG:style_emoticons/default/talker.gif) I just mean my d6. The sack has my D&D dice too so I need to keep the d8 and d12 and d4's all kept away.

This thread reminds me just how long it's been since I actually played/GM'd SR, or anything else for that matter.
Back in the day, here's what I would bring. 1 large bag full of dice, 1 or 2 packs of cheap mechanical pencils character sheets, notes, module BBB, and pretty much the entire damn library of any possibly needed book, (since I was the only one who had any of them) note paper and graph paper, one backpack stuffed to the top holding all this (until it ripped itself apart in a suicidal escape attempt) Someone else usually brought a Plexiglas map, markers, or miniatures. Drink and food were usually individually brought, or the host cooked, or we all chipped in for pizza. Mountain Dew is a necessity. Man, I miss gaming. |

These days it's a much lighter load for gaming.
Laptop - Covers pretty much everything from PDF books (no more hard copy for me), game notes, etc. I use VoodooPad for my private GM notes and such and we use a wiki now for other general campaign info, so everything is easily accessible. Printed Materials - Extra character sheets, print-outs of various notes or other cheat sheets or play aids as appropriate to the session Snacks, drinks, pizza money. Back in the old days, especially near the end of SR3 it would be several duffel bags of books between everyone. We always found we needed some random sourcebook on the occasion someone didn't bring it. It's nice to have that situation as well as various binders and folders full of paper replaced with the laptop. |

As GM, my supply kit usually consists of 3 x 2L Pepsi Max and a chocolate supply. Think "Ommpa-loompa" style-chocolate.
As to what I actually take with (Or drag out, considering who's hosting...) The bag: Containing -SR3 reference and fluff books. Basically everything is there except rigger. -copies of the equipment lists (2 folders) -npc folders (x2) -God-awful-plot-devices (x2 folders) - the notes. These are a loosely-bound sway of A4 sheets, liberally spattered with the worst gaming has to throw at me - spare A4 notepads (x10) Pens, pencils, whiteboard (dry erase, yankee) markers (~60) Rulers. 1 x 30, 1 x 100cm. 3 entire DnD modules I always forget to empty out. Starwars D20 handbooks (See above for reasoning) Dice (In a seperate section for reasons...) ~ 250 x d6 (Shadowrun set) This also includes the GM's +40 d6's ( said I play SR3, didn't I?) - Note, dice are the small-diameter Chessex type. Well, the player ones are, if you don't bring your own, you get the gimp ones. ~ 120 x assorted polys (Dnd and "other", set) (enough for 7 entire DnD poly sets, plus many, many extras) Box of tissues, soft. Plus: 2 x 1m2 whiteboards (~80x112) 3 x "hand-size" whiteboards (40x 29 cm) Plus anything else I consider useful. The bag has wheels. _Tir. PS: Yeah, a laptop would reduce this to a carryable (rather than luggable) weight. |

* Laptop (EEE PC) - really small, but good enough for ebooks, notes, etc. - I've written my own GMtool to organize my notes, etc.
* Projector (normaly I tend to GM in our flat, so I don't have to carry that, but it's not that big anyway) so that I can display the images, etc. directly from my GMTool... Also used to move tokens around, etc. * As sometimes it's nice to have (and a good mouse pad) I also have some sheets of paper (and a pencil) * Water, Coke, etc. * Chips, etc. |

Laptop with maps and character icons loaded into Adobe Photoshop created using P'shop and Adobe Illustrator.
Projector for laptop that girlfriend acquired working at Kinko's. Big white board and easel stand. All of my SR4 rules and locations books. A couple of earlier edition source books depending on what location the group is running in that night. Various papers in a binder. Game Master's Screen. Dice. Yeah, I pretty much look like a pack mule when I walk in the door. |
